No, you did not imagine it. Kocowa was promoting it and had several subbed trailers in the Coming Soon. I agree it is very strange, and I'm sorry they are not subbing it.

Yeah, I don't know what happened at kocowa because I check before premiere date and kocowa have english subber trailer for Forest in the "Coming Soon" section. I was excited to watch on Kocowa. Then when I go to kocowa on the premiere date-everything is gone. No trailers, no show page, nothing. So Kocowa not subbing it. Not sure why not.

This drama is available on Viki but it is extreme region blocked at Viki as well. This is why there are problems with subs. Basically the drama is legally available in 2-3 countries worldwide. Those countries not easily accesible for the "other sites", compounded by App only issues. WeTV updates 2 eps on Sat & Sun, for a total of 4 eps a week. Currently , WeTV release up to Ep. 12 for Non VIP users. As of Sun, Feb. 2, 2020 will release 4 eps, to Ep. 16 for Non VIP. VIP users are 4 episodes ahead, so they currently at Ep. 16 and will get to Ep. 20 on Feb. 2
Viki just started the subbing so they are way behind WeTV for number of episodes subbed.
I think Dramanicein able to get the VIP schedule so they have the most eps available subbed.

No problem. Yes, Viki usually takes longer because they use volunteer subbing model.

9 hours??! Are you serious?? This is Viki we are talking about. We'll be lucky to get 100% subs in 9 days. More seriously, the sub completion rate varies at Viki because it depends on the size of the teams and the volunteers schedules. From my past experience, Average time to completely sub an episode on a K Drama is normally 24-48 hours after upload, if you don't care about editing. If you do care about editing, it can take 2-4 days on average, sometimes as long as 7 days.
To be honest, Viki has been having more problems lately with subbing. After the fiasco that was Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, I thought they had taken steps to remedy some of the issues but I guess not cause here we are again with this drama. I'm hoping they can get the subs done in a week. It's now been 24 hours since upload and the average percentage for Ep. 1&2 is at 16% so I don't think we will see 100% for both Ep. 1& 2 by the 48 hours mark. If we're lucky the team will make good progress over the weekend and we may see all episodes subbed by Sunday night.
