As a person who absolutely hates infidelity and cheating, I was surprised to know that I actually ended up liking the two main characters (Hua Qin and Yan Fei). In my defense and somewhat in their defense as well, HQ and YF met and instantly had a connection way before HQ and PinJun even met. They both fell in love and if it wasn’t for that swimming coach, they would have ended up 2gether. HQ never said that he loves PJ, he only said that PJ looks after him well. Even when they started dating, a part of him always yearned for YF (this was obvious by the fact that he said he hates swimming now- maybe because of what he 'lost' and what he is reminded of- YF). This was also why he searched for YF the second time they met at Pinky's birthday party. HQ couldn’t let YF go because he loved him but also couldn’t let PJ go because he was always there for him. This indecisiveness was what kind of hurt the three characters but at least he knew who he loved more. On the other hand, I got the feeling that Jimmy and YF’s relationship was a little toxic; it was a loveless and only-for-pleasure- type of relationship. YF wouldn't really be called on for cheating on Jimmy because he made it oh-so clear about the fact that he was done with this relationship. However, Jimmy was too caught up in his love to realise that. Also, when YF met HQ for the second time, he only chased after YF and left Jimmy-so basically he didn't cheat. Unlike HQ tho... TBH, although HQ cheated on PJ, I kind of was happy that he decided to choose YF in the end, who he really loved.

Okay so I'm goona pretend that this ended as a happy ending... the sad ending was a set up by Shu Nian and Xie Yan's father to stop Xie Yan from searching for Nian. But then Ke Luo comes back and the amazing person that is, secretly tells Yan everything... and the rest is history.... Yep... that's the ending!
