I don't see the example of the parents as bad people, i see them as being very caring individuals with some flaws…
Only asian people cab understand what parents love lookalike but others see it as toxic, evil. Someone even wishes mom to die. Thats too mean and extreme.
Not only this drama but i observed the same pattern in kdramas, cdramas they often show parents as biggest obstacle to children progress and show children as victims due to bad parenting.
Never saw any drama where children trying to approach, communicate with their parents.

This is the most stressful drama i have seen in recent times. Even till the end i didn't like FL much. More than 90% problems she faced are her own creation.
I can say there is no such thing called happy ending. Its a circle, new problems will be automatically created. She will live along with them for rest of her life.
When it comes to defend FL, people uses various excuses and logics but don't know same logics can apply with 2ml, 2fl too based on their upbringing. Each and every human had their own reasons what they become.
These days most of the dramas start with FL breakup with her boyfriend. Reason? She is a victim. Why he became a jerk? Who knows. How she fall in love with him?. Who knows. But she is definitely victim.
