If not for the revelation from Ba Niang and the blood pearl as well as the new need to look for her father, do…
And that's why she was different from the others too. Of course, without her schooling from Ba Niang, all would have been moot, so we really needed Ba Niang in the picture, LOL.
I'm up to ep 25 and one of the reviewers spoiled the ending for me. So I will not continue as I hate desperately…
Continue watching until the last episode and stop at 33:33 and you get a cute marriage and sexy bedroom scene and then CLICK OFF. There, happy ending. GO NO FURTHER than the marriage night scene. :)
Just finished watching and I gotta say, I have some pretty mixed (okay, mostly negative) feelings about it. Honestly,…
Yes, a revenge drama is supposed to have a PAYOFF. That's the point. There was no pay off. Nada. Just a cup of Undying Flower porridge. Here, have some.
Episode 2: I'm not afraid of fire, only of cold. Mei Lin says to Morung Jing He that the souls of Qingzhou will…
Yet, with her supreme powers of observation and deduction, she could NOT see through XiyanGreenTeaPrince's masks. That's why I said before, the writers defanged both my JingHe and MeiLin just to get some epic angst scenes. Stupid writers. There were smarter ways.

What I was saying was IF she didn't know about her mother and family. Let's say she and Shrimp hid in Yan's ship and was caught and she was now in her predicament for some other reason (there is no pearl and looking for father storyline, just the ambition to succeed as a businesswoman), and then Jin Ran offered her this letter, with that promise of protection, would she then accept?
IMO, her personality would push her to say "no" because of her innate yearning for freedom. She had not known freedom all her life and saw it differently from those around her, esp. JinRan. But JinRan was attracted and tried very hard to understand. With the poem. With his respect of her. With this letter, he was showing that he wanted her to get what she was striving for (learning a craft), but of course, he had his own selfish reasons :).
If not for the revelation from Ba Niang and the blood pearl as well as the new need to look for her father, do you think DuanWu would have accepted 2ML's proposal (the letter of recommendation WAS an indirect proposal to be under his protection, which DuanWu UNDERSTOOD)? She would be learning a new craft in Chang'an and have a certain freedom, etc. etc. Would she have done it?
So is 2ML. I saw a promo photo of LuSi in between them. She was, like, below their shoulders, LOLOL.
I know! Even that Cui girl. I'm Chinese and I cannot believe how big these actors are LOL (I'm also small but my siblings are wayyy taller than me too, but not THAT huge!)
Those trolls are getting so annoying. Best not engage. Just block and then you (and I) won't see them again. Block, block, block. They can tire themselves out.
This drama to me is like a journey or life story...it's her journey to finding freedom and she is meeting all…
So far a good balance of action and exposition. The pacing is good because we could see character growth and motivation but not too boring much and then whomp! We get action and conflict. Serious but entertaining.
