It's not really complaining. Most ppl only get their friendship vibes. But no romantic ones. It could be because they are friends and don't know how to pass that level of emotion. Or it may just because they are newbies and not good actors. Especially Book. His acting is really mediocre (yes this part is a complaint lol)
Its been mentioned long ago even before their series aired. They mention it quite often in their interviews too. This was the selling point and gimmick for this couple. Which is also why so many ppl get no romantic vibes from them.
Theo lived in France for 10 yrs, not in cave right? So how can he be so naive and uneducated about the world? He's basically a male bimbo in this series. Aside from having some good looks (which is heavily filtered to look white and blemish free) his character is lackluster and Books acting is bland. The scenes of him TRYING to be flirty and charming with Phupha is like watching 2 goldfish interact. Their mouths move, they stare, and have some facial movement, thats about it. Ofcourse the problem doesnt lie with Book alone.
Yeah and it seems like he keeps playing characters of the same personality type, he plays them well but I'd really…
I mean if they cast him as a college student I could accept that. Someone in their 20s. But him playing a high schoolers someone in their early or mid teens....It's kinda wrong haha
Agreed - also bc I simply prefer "more mature" BLs like Manner or Death or Close to You. But tbh he does look…
Actually he looks young in the series cause they use ALOT of filters. If u see him on interviews or vlogs u will see he is aging rather obviously and not in a good way. Sorry to say but he's starting to look like a bit creepy with all those wrinkles and eye bags while still dressing as a little kid and acting cutesy.
No offense but isn't Earth getting kinda too old to be still playing a high schoolers? It's time they let him do other roles. It's really hard to look at him and see him still being a high schoolers after so many series
At first I was a little surprised that this series was only 10 eps when they are usually 14 and now I am questioning…
I completely agree with u. The story itself is a yawnfest. I had to fast forward most of ep 3. Nothing happening really makes me wanna follow through with the ep. And the actors are really lacking any skills. I know they are newbies. But some scenes are really bad.they should just air 2eps a week so it can be done quickly
You should just think they're nervous about lying about enchante and thats why they blinking rapidly You didn't…
Lol. I don't expect Oscar level acting. But come on, this is basic level acting. They should be able to at least deliver a normal look at each other. When an actor can't even look at someone normally and naturally u know they are bad at acting . The truth hurts lol
I think, aside from being a bit of a creeper, Phupa's kinda cute. You're right though, about the acting. He's…
It was hard to not notice it during the last few Mins and during the close ups. Last ep when they were at the bar and he was supposed to look at the stage I already noticed it cause he was looking around instead of the stage. This ep it was even more obvious
Phuphas left lazy eye is distracting. Whenever he sorta squints and tries to give one of those "charming" looks his left eye looks as if he is stuck between a wink or just had a stroke. whenever he and Book had a close up scene talking to each other during the stairs scene both of them are blinking rapidly. That's a sign the actors lack experience and skills. They don't know how to be natual. They don't know how to focus and don't know where they ought to look at. It's also a sign of nervousness. U don't see that with actors who are good or at least decent in acting
If Theo is gonna be "Dating" 4 guys (5 if u include Akk) doesnt that just make him a male tramp? He knows their intentions, or will know, and he just lets it go on to see whose the better one he likes. And he doesnt mind them competing against each other. Kinda contradicts the whole "innocent prince" thing lol
I dont mind the acting like some have mentioned…in fact thats the least of my concerns with this series. I just…
I agree. If BL series were like a sandwich and all the tropes, genres, plots, actors, etc were the toppings and condiments u could put on a sandwich to make it good, this series would be nothing more than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich... simple, boring and bland
All 6 main roles really need to improve on their acting. The only one who is somewhat better than the rest is Fluke(Natee). Aou (Phupha) is probably the weakest one. When they were at the bar/lounge and listening to Fluke(Saifah) play music he couldnt even give a natural look towards the stage/background. Its like his eyes were looking for the camera and the crew behind it. He didnt even know where to look at. Book's drunk scenes were really bad. It looked like he had a stroke and couldnt speak. Especially when he was alone with Force at home and they had that close up scene, his facial expressions as he spoke looked more like he just had a brain hemorrhage and was relearning to talk. And when Book was hungry and his stomach was rumbling, why in the world did they use a sound effect that sounded like he was having an upset stomach and needed to take a shit? It sounded like he was having diarrhea. Same as those "heartbeat" sound effects they add whenever Force and Book are close...The actors expressions dont convey that atmosphere or mood at all.
whenever a series gets really big, regretfully whatever show airing afterwards gets lots of unwarranted hate.…
I partially agree with you. Its not always that cause though. Fish under the Sky aired after Tales of 1000 stars, and the reception was rather good. Im not trying to argue with you or start one, haha. My point is; 1. yes this series is following a well received one but if the acting or story was done right it would still be doing "ok". 2 ,Fans of this show shouldnt be blaming its shortcoming cause of another show. This show does have flaws. 3. If the airing schedule was reversed would this show really have done better? I dont think it would have made the editing or acting or story more liked by the audience
Ppl really need to be realistic; They gotta stop blaming the shows bad acting , editing, or story telling on Bad Buddies. Do they really think if Enchante aired first it would have improved the quality or the acting of the series? In fact it would possibly even given BBS a higher rating cause after seeing Enchante ppl would have been more impressed with a series that had better actors (i know BBS didnt have a great story either) but seriously....Enchantes poor review and acting really cant all be blamed on for following BBS
you are of course entitled to you opinion, but let's be honest bad buddy did have next to no plot, even less then…
I wasnt crazy about BBS either. But at least the leads could act. These 2 are really not good actors. IF this is their best they can offer as real life frds imagine how much worst their acting would be with other ppl
The french and his accent actually dont really make sense. He lived in France for 10 yrs without having gone back…
If they wanted to downplay his french then they shouldnt have him suddenly throw out french terms or words randomly to emphasize he lived in france so often.
Book's drunk scenes were really bad. It looked like he had a stroke and couldnt speak. Especially when he was alone with Force at home and they had that close up scene, his facial expressions as he spoke looked more like he just had a brain hemorrhage and was relearning to talk.
