Problem is that you have already learned your native language. And mine and English have totally different construction of the sentence. So when I read English sub it doesn't match with order of words in Korean. I thought that I understand Korean but because I knew a lot of words mostly nouns from watching dramas BUT when I met Koreans live and they started to talk we we I was like wtf??? I couldn't make a sentence. I admit that reading and watching helped me a lot for learning English in my life. But when you start translating songs for example from Korean you realize how much drama watching do not help.

C2 is conversational level :), native speaker is above that :)))))))))))) Subtitle doesn't help because you can hear only nouns when they speak and if a noun have some "particle " you even do not know is it a word or some conjugation. Really learning Korean without grammar is like not learning

I've started to learn Korean 3 years ago and than gave up, and than 2 years ago and than gave up, last years and again gave up ahahahahah. But last month I've started again and realized thah my Korean is now better A2 level. But drama watching do not help! Their grammar is the hardest thing I'm learning in my life and i have a loooot diplomas etc.

It's ok because he is very natural. He is that rock of the drama :)))))) You can see themes from several other Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese dramas..but they are all copying each others anyway
