yes,i do love that movie....i think it was my first Japanese movie since I'm more into k dramas,...why don't you watch "snow queen" or "tree of heaven" they are just as sad as koizora.

actually "Jewel in the Palace" was my first drama and the second one was Jumong...that's how i get to know kdramas ...i'm not sure myself,how i could watch such long dramas ^^ i would definitely watch The Moon that Embraces the Sun since I've heard so much about it

I'm not actually a fan of historical dramas...but i may just give it a try...if it's that good ^.^
