so it's the same story? any spoilers? it"s good?? SECOND LEAD SYNDROME HERE??
The storyline is consistent with the other 3 versions. I don't like it as well as the Japanese version as the female lead is way too exaggerated and screechy. I'm also not finding the second male lead in this version to be as fun as Choi Si Won of the Korean version where I definitely had second lead syndrome.
She is the best of the 4 different versions - her character is too over the top in the Korean and Thai versions.
Yes, the Thai version is currently airing (so far 6 of 16 episodes have aired). The name of the Thai version is "Me Always You". Storyline is consistent with the other versions.
Kinda surprising that this drama's rating is lower than the other versions as I thought the female lead wasn't as screechy and exaggerated and with the fewer episodes the male lead being unlikable wasn't as stretched out.
I'm at episode 6 and the female lead is so exaggerated that you are left scratching your head as to why anyone let alone 2 men would fall in love with her, especially given her snorting laugh and screechy voice. She appears to be a completely different person from her childhood self so its no wonder that the male lead can't recognize her.
Yes, this one is way better than the other 3 versions. I hated the male lead in the Korean version and was firmly rooting for the second male lead. I never had second male lead syndrome in the Japanese version. Since it's shorter (just 10 episodes) it didn't drag out male lead being nasty to female lead like in the other versions. The shorter version also eliminated any filler.
Surprising that this currently has the same rating as the Japanese version, as I think the Japanese version is worlds better. The Japanese version has the best female lead of all the versions, and also the best male lead. Also, had second male lead syndrome with the Korean version (hated the male lead in that version) but not with Japanese version.
In which eps do the leads finish high school? Also, are there any breakup scenes, disapproving parents etc. Pl.…
The female lead starts college in episode 15 - she stayed in high school one additional year so that she could continue to try to get into the same college as the male lead. Due to a family crisis, male lead tries to distance himself from female lead from episode 15 to episode 19. He finally comes to his senses and begins pursuing the female lead. His mom not understanding that they were already a couple cancelled their childhood betrothal (but she was completely on board with their relationship once she realized they were actually dating) - the female lead's mom was thrilled they were dating.
Can someone recommended me some completed or 2021 cdramas that has good chemistry like this one. I just can't…
I also really liked You Are My Hero - great chemistry between the leads (didn't care that much for the secondary romance but the lead romance was fantastic)
It's a historical, but The Long Ballad was also really good. Loved both the lead and the secondary romance.
Wonder why this drama has a tag of "selfish female lead"? While the second female lead might be called selfish by some do to her actions towards the male lead, I don't think the female lead was ever selfish.
The Japanese version is excellent, I personally liked it more than the K-drama version. I love that it's faster-paced…
I agree, of the 4 versions I've watched (although I've only seen the first episode of the Thai version) the Japanese version is my favorite. Like both the ML and the FL and didn't get SML syndrome.

Chinese - Pretty Li Hui Zhen
Japanese - Kanojo wa Kirei datta
Thai - Me Always You
