I’ve got mixed feelings about this drama, it’s not really exciting me. Namkoong’s acting also feels uncertain; maybe it’s the character, I’m not sure yet. Still, I’ll keep watching to see how the villain gets caught, because honestly the villain feels like the most real person in this whole story 😭.

lol, I never said I didn’t!! Just comparing them! I’m a lover of short episodes, just pissed that the storyline in this was underwhelming not loud, they spent more on the production than the story!!!

Did you watch Haunted Palace? East Palace was way more fast‑paced, cutting out unnecessary dialogue and fillers. Both had the shaman helping the spirit, the grandmother using the shaman, the ML with powers, and the FL with similar traits. Even the underwater scenes matched except East Palace actually fought its spirit underwater! other different thing was the person behind it but the haunted palace was also caused by the previous king!!
Honestly, the story isn’t gripping or exciting at all. It feels like a copy of Haunted Palace at least that one prioritized storytelling over flashy cinematography. I don’t get why some Kdrama fans drool over this just because of the pretty visuals. Sure, the CGI is solid and the actors are great, but overall it’s underwhelming. I kept zoning in and out, dragging myself just to finish it.

How is it his fault? Y’all love blaming people instead of owning your choices. The guy was dealing with his own father drama and he’s just a teenager! He even told her he couldn’t make it, why couldn’t she handle it alone or just go home? But I guess you’ll call it ‘love.’ He had his own problems, and if the drama tries to dump the blame on him, I’ll be disappointed!!
The person who suggested bags for Hyeri did well, but her acting still isn’t extraordinary. The ML doesn’t give director vibes at all and all that makeup, for what? To make him look younger? His face screams 30s, even if the body is trying to pass for younger 😭.

The way they hyped Hyeri’s father up only for him to get beaten so easily was such a letdown 😔. And that cringe comedy? It’s killing me, annoying as hell. I’ve never seen a director of a big org like SMD written so dumb. This drama is packed with absurdities, but I guess people just naturally love JiSub 🤷🏽♀️.
