Same here, I remember how hesitant Rei was to reveal his truth to all and ran away. I guess Rei killed Kaoru as he knew his secret & killed Yuma as he was searching for the truth. I guess Rei was aware of Hajime's past and his sufferings. Hajime killed everyone who didn't trust him in his past so Rei used him & made circumstancesthat would trigger him kill to everyone so that Rei would come out clean & his secret would never be exposed again.
I guess this is the story..?
