i have not watched the japanese version, but I have to say, I love this Kdrama. There are basically no holes in the writing and flow of the story, I think this drama is dark and the story is complex. I feel like we should stop comparing it to the japanese version, because I don't know If you know this, but Korea is very different from Japan. It is a different culture, audience, system, so the version of the show will very much not live up to the japanese show. It will be different, and you can not expect something to be an exact copy of another thing, to have the same exact level of discomfort, angst, darkness, twisted and uniqueness.
I just have to say that Seo in guk is my favourite korean actor, he deserves hype. Often times we hype actors like Yoo Ah In (he is really good, and I love him. He is a freaking vibe) and like Park Bo Gum (I don't feel him sometimes, okay I do, but like he does not give me chills), but we forget gods like Seo in guk. He is literally so good, he knows how to portray twisted and confusing characters and he knows how to put life into the roles he plays. I love him.
I love this drama, it gives me so much life and I want to cry. I can't even.
the funny thing to me is that soo ah is actually not that pretty, like from the amount of Korean dramas I've watched, and kpop groups i've worshiped, there are a ton of actresses better looking than her. Mi rae's bestie is even better looking than her. And is it just me, but i'm not feeling Cha eun woo's acting, like it's not amazing, and i dont think he is bringing his character to life. I feel like his acting is average AF. If you compare is character to that of the male mainrole in cheese in the trap, they are both so deep and cold, you would realize that park hae jin conveyed his characters identity so perfectly. and i dont think Cha eun woo is bringing his best out, anyway this might be the fault of the writers, or i might be acting too picky. Anyway i just love mi rae, like i love her story, her values, her words, her voice, i love how they built her character through each episode. I really feel like mi rae's bestfriend has no purpose, like her character has not really been built, it really feels like shes just filling up the space, for the sake of it. But in overall I love this show, like ive not fallen in love with a show this fast since cheese in the trap, and heart to heart.
The drama is one of the most fascinating and stunning drama's ever aired. The chemistry between the main lead's…
ehmmmm not so sure, i think the acting is so unnatural, infact, they should just remove the supporting roles, like they make no sense and add no value. the only good thing s are the kissing scenes.
