Beautiful (Another one I'll be adding to my rewatch list)
First of all, what a gorgeous ensemble cast. This drama is especially a treat for all the romance readers out there. "We all have but one dream, to be sucked into the our favorite books."Both the ML and FL did such a good job of portraying their characters. It was a bit draggy when the ML thought that everything was FL's fault, even when it didn't make sense. That lasted far too long for me. Apart from that their relationship was wow! Wow, as in, the chemistry between the two is just mind-blowing. When these two characters locked lips, sparks flew. All their intimate scenes were so well done.
SML was such a adorable and great guy. I was hoping to see his real-life counterpart once ML regained his memories, but that didn't happen. At least he got the happy ending he wanted.
Chuchu was one of the most annoying characters in here. Her one-dimensional character and childish voice just made it difficult to listen to her dialogues. (I also skipped most of the scenes with ML's family and their disputes over the company and fortunes, that part just wasn't fun for me.)
Despite that, this is pretty drama. No regrets on the time spent watching this.

Barely Any Annoying Cliches
The lead couple were kind of bland after a while, it was good to watch them get together in the first 10 episodes, after than it became too boring. They were both good together and good to each other, so a green flag couple. The second couple was much more interesting however Shu Wen Bo was so damn insecure that he made Ruan Qing Xia cry so many times. This is a perfect example of asking people what they want instead of just making a decision for them.
The third couple, ML's sister and Dr Shao were pretty good together as well. Glad that they got the second chance.

Episode one is a bit bland, the setting is not so great, i might have given up if not for the lead characters. The pacing is also quite slow. I'm glad that I didn't give up. It is one of those shows where you have to pay attention to every scene. It was really well made. Lu Zhao Xi (ML): He is adorable with the devil face he tries to make, its so embarrassing and cute at the same time. He was decent person from start to end. He did like to tease the heroine a bit and behave like a child pulling a girl's pigtails, but it was fun. Apart from that, there was no toxicity detected.
Ye Shi La (FL): She matched the ML's adorableness and was just as decent of a person as the male lead. Their romance was slow burn and they took time to understand each other. She often played along with the ML knowing that he was teasing her, but sometimes she took him seriously.
I liked the actress in the drama The Day of Becoming You, which also has a similar pace.

Get ready to fall in love with Tonghao and dislike Shan Jun Hao (P.S they are both the same person)
I have too many problems with this drama.First things first, Shan Jun Hao (ML) looses his memory and is named Tonghao due to a case of mistaken identity.
Ye Qian Yu (FL) and her family hit the ML while driving in the dark and decide to not report it but to take him home. It just didn't sit right with me. However when Tonghao (name of the ML when he lost his memory due to the accident) found out about it later in their relationship, he forgave her and was okay with it.
Tonghao, who lost his memory, was much better fit for FL than Shan Jun Hao despite them being the same person. Once he got his memory back and became Shan Jun Hao again, he forgot all about his time as Tonghao, he became a jerk. He went out of his way to say the meanest and most hurtful things to Ye Qian Yu. The personality change was too drastic and it was too easy to miss Tonghao, who was so very adorable.
Tonghao's only fault was that he was a bit selfish with his love for Ye Qian Yu. Even when he found out about his identity as Shan Jun Hao who had a fiancé, mother, and adopted brother waiting for him, he decided to forget about them completely and he did so in a very cruel way. All he wanted was Ye Qian Yu.
Apart from the initial hit and kidnap, Qian Yu was a happy character, a bit shady when it came to making money, but we see her grow. Even when Tonghao insisted that he wanted nothing to do with his old memories, she went out of her way ensure he met with his family. But she got delt a crappy hand, Shan Jun Hao family were so damn crappy to her, everyone of them despite her giving him up when he was Tonghao. She just had to keep taking shit from these guys including Shan Jun Hao and not once did he apologize for it. It was sad to watch and she just kept being so understanding. The whole situation was crappy for everyone, what made it worse was Qian Yu became the punching bag for Shan Jun Hao's family.
They did have a happy ending but I wished he had gotten his memories back of being Tonghao.

Episode 1: How absurd is the bully putting the blame on the victim! But this is the reality of life. It has happened to me and it is possible to be gaslit like that, continuously questioning if calling them out is wrong. Because there is always someone trying to help the bully. That bully was the one who put things in motion, and then she felt justified calling out Wu Xiu Ya for not apologizing for being bullied because she was called. She wasn't even truthful at the time, she tried to hide behind the false narrative that Wu Xiu Ya's stand hurt other people. These other people who were complicit in the bullying, if not actively bullying but isolating her, which included Shi Ye.Episode 2: Absolutely enjoyed her stand up act in this episode. The first two episodes are just so damn well-written. If this continues for the all the episodes, i might as well look up the other works by these creators and writers. Also the actors.
Ep 3 to ep 10: In reality the rules say one thing, but the institutions that lay down the rules are the ones who refuse to follow them. They see cunning credit-stealing employees as the stars whereas they continue to make use of the hardworking ones not giving them credit that is due. Oh, in episode 9, we find out that even though it may have seemed like Shi Ye didn't speak up, he actually thought her act was funny and didn't have anything against her.
Ep 11: When i first saw Xu Yun Feng in ep 10, I thought they would try to pair him up with the Wu Xiu Ya and they did. And I thought since things weren't going anywhere between the leads, this would be good diversion for her to find herself. But when he said, you have one day to consider it. I was like throw that card away baby. This isn't a job interview where you are desperate to take any opportunity that comes your way. Well, at least they talked about things and decided to get to know each other which makes more sense.
Ep 12 to Ep 15: Okay fine, you gotta give the guy brownie points for the outfit change, just for making her comfortable. Oh wow, the ending of this episode was so damn beautiful, more so than her act. I initially came for romance but the story made me stay. Their struggle to establish themselves grabs you attention and cannot help but make you want to root for them.
Ep 15 to Ep 24: I Immensely enjoyed the drama. I could understand the reasons behind each of the decisions made by the Wu Xiu Ya. I was wondering why Zheng Hao was listed for main role, and now i know. I like his journey from who he was before to how far he has come as a person. He finally see Xiu Ya as not just an object but a person. As for Shi Yi, he said a lot of things, but he was quite vague about what kind of future they would have together. I don't see it working out with him because they both are dreaming of a different future. Here's to hoping things work out for Xiu Ya and Zheng Hao.

Slow start to a promising drama that I was looking forward to.
Ep 1 to Ep 8: The problem with the drama is Yang Mi's character Tushan Hong Hong's lack of facial expressions. It seems like her face is made of stone and doesn't move at all. In contrast, Gong Jun's Dongfang Yue Chu is quite expressive and fun to watch. I guess that they are trying to make her seem unattainable but it doesn't come across as that. Cheng Yi's Lord Ying Yuan did it better and still expressed emotions. Apart from that, the story is so slow and draggy. I hope it picks up pace soon. I'm watching the drama when I'm sick and it is already making me more sleepy. The chemistry is there between the two, I hope we can see it shine soon. It was good to see Wei Zhe Ming's character, I like him dressed like that. I hope the show gets better.Ep 8 & Ep 10: The story is so boring, Hong Hong's and Yue Chu's story is the only thing I'm interested in. They have such a beautiful and talented cast, but it fails to create engagement. I really want to like this drama, everything including the graphics are so beautiful, hope it gets better!

ML you will not root for!
I wanted to continue watching this so bad but the ML is highly immature, inconsiderate, and has no saving grace. The plot is also so full of that bullshit redemption arc for criminals and people far too selfish to deserve it.> 1 is a hit and run driver,
> others complacent in hiding this (ML is included in that list) so liking him was very difficult from the get go,
> then there is a SFL who abandons a baby at a college students doorstep and continues to live her life pursuing the ML as if that's the only thing that matters in life.
> In the first 20 episodes, he just randomly steals her scooter and then scolds the FL for calling the cops on him. She then apologizes for it. And even after that he continues to be immature and act like a highschooler throwing a tantrum. Watching him was on screen was such a chore.
> I kept telling myself okay, you can overlook it, since the cinematography and setting is nice but it just kept getting worse.
> Things go alright for 5-6 minutes but you know ML will be there to spoil it somehow.
> I am 38 episodes in and the ML finds out that the FL has a child, his first reaction is to get angry and throw a tantrum. That's why his confession about liking her is so irksome. Anyone can like her, she is a stunning woman with an amazing personality, what does he have to offer? Something that only the SFL likes.
> The SFL, SML, and ML should just get together at this point.
I feel that I wasted my time on these few episodes I watched. Once i get over this dislike for most of the characters, I might consider skipping to the end, just to watch the FL live a good life.

Liked it much more than I thought I would
I like this so much better than School 2013, the production and lighting is better. The characters much more interesting.I am on episode 5 and I know Kang So Yeong's is going to get off with a mere apology. She bullied someone so much that the person tried to kill themselves.
Not only does she not feel any remorse or guilt, but she along with the nasty little friend groups of hers have the audacity to want to ruin her life again now that she has gotten away from it even with that twist of fate.
The drama like society will fail to provide justice showing that there are no real consequences for bullying someone, only the victim suffers while the offender is given multiple chances to do better.
The romance part, I get why people prefer that she end up with Tae Gwang, because he was there from the get go. She chose to confide in him first, even if it was an accident that he found out. But I don't mind that she ended up with Han Yi An, because he isn't a bad guy or a red flag. He reacted like a normal person would in such situation, in fact he handled it better.
The story had its issues but it was enjoyable.

Beautiful and heartwarming
I am swaying to the music of the drama in my mind as I write this review. It left that good of an impression. I'm not sure why I put watching this off for as long as I had, but I sure should have watched it long before.Whenever someone says stranded on an Island, my mind goes to Oliver Queen. So, as i watching the first episode, I was wondering what she would have to deal with on that island.
The acting was good, the characters pretty decent, the story nice, and pacing was perfect. I wanted to see more of Mok Ha's life into the stardom, but it ended too soon.
They covered the intricacies of abuse so well. Looking at little Ki Ho or Mok Ha, no one could have thought that they were being abused by their parents and this is why so many of those heinous wild beasts that call themselves parents get away with it. The prosecutor's words were gold: "We have one parent lying to protect their kid, and we have another parent lying to punish their kid. Who do you think is the better parent?"
I'll miss the characters.

Out of this world chemistry! A FL with the balls of brass! A green flag male lead.
Okay, there have been some amazing dramas out there, but this one always hits the right notes for me with its ups and downs.> Started on a high note with friction and a hot kiss. (Got the enemies to lovers going)
> Other than the Kiss, the FL was wise enough to pull herself together with composure many of us wish we had after a rejection like that.
> The ML needed a little prompting, but once he realized his feelings, he was pretty solid.
> No extra people vying for their affections. I sure don't mind if there are people who are also interested in them, but I definitely do not like it when the manipulations starts.
> Amazing parent!
> A goofy adorable sister!
> Once they get together, being supportive of each other.
These two are just so good together and they bring that chemistry to the characters that might as well have been written with them in mind. Miles Wei has perfected the Lead Guy character, I will watch n number of romance dramas with him as a lead, especially the modern dramas. I wish there were more dramas with Huang Ri Ying with a badass lead role, she shines so brilliantly. I am always excited when I notice her in supporting characters in other dramas.
Let's talk about Tang Xin! That confession started so well. The confidence she had, to wear a bold dress like that on just a regular day was so ballsy! She looked good and confessed her feelings fearlessly.
Yes, let's address the elephant in the room, the stalkerish behavior and the forced kiss.
I kind of have a love hate relationship with that kiss.
The love:
-----------
> The visuals of it were so stunning, the way she kissed him, wow. At that moment, I wanted to be kissed by her like that. In this scenario, by the end of that kiss, he was looking at her shellshocked, as if she had changed his entire world. This fictional couple is going to look back at this in years to come and thing wow what a memory.
> The extras little moments at the end of every episode give us a look into their relationship before the drama started. They weren't strangers. And he has said many times that he thinks that they are not suitable for each other but that doesn't mean he doesn't like her.
The Hate:
-------------
> I imagine this happening in real life and thinking, yeah this would lead to a restraining order at least. Can you just imagine a man or woman sneakily taking pictures of you, pasting them all over their walls, or kissing you forcefully! It would be so traumatic.
> I just hope no one is out there looks at this drama and goes "Oh so that's how you get a man/woman." No. It is one thing to set boundaries with your partners about what goes and what doesn't but to approach a stranger like this is not right! Consent is a must!
That being said, Tang Yu gave a lot of mixed signals in the beginning and Tang Xin is crazy, the kind of crazy we love to read and watch about. It did make for a good drama. I just realized that both this and Only For Love came out in the same year, I certainly like this one better. I am a fan of Bai Lu's as well but, this is my 4th time rewatching this one and Only For Love has less rewatch value for me.

Needs season 2 to explore that ending. (An extra episode wouldn't hurt either)
The story was quite interesting. The presentation lacked flow, as a viewer you start out believing that the ML hated the FL and wanted to kill her as revenge. But later the writer wanted us to believe that wasn't the case, he just wanted to end the cruel rebirth cycle and didn't exactly wish the FL any harm. Although I forced myself to follow the change, I'm was still not fully convinced.
However, it could be that he hated her just as much as he loved her, which is why his expression conveyed hatred so much making it so hard to believe. This could have been planned that way by the writers.
The ML was kinda great when you think about it and FL just didn't put enough faith in their relationship. Even when the ML was willing to put faith in their relationship, she decided to literally do away with the relationship and the guy. Very cowardly. She just didn't love him enough.
So, I was glad for the consequences she had to face for the actions.
*Spoiler Alert*
What's more, I was so glad that Han Jun Oh got to experience life. As much as you admire Do Ah, if it wasn't for Han Jun Oh, the show wouldn't have been that interesting. He was very adorable and I'm glad that his brother didn't have to mourn him.
I am glad that both Do Ah (ML) and Kang Young Hwa / Han Ri Ta (FL) got the fresh start, however I wish to see how Kang Young Hwa lived out her life, similarly for the other characters. Furthermore, it would be interesting to watch both leads live out their reincarnated life. Although I'm pretty sure there won't be a season 2, i was hoping that we could get a few extra episode where they could explore all of this.

Bright, Light, Humorous & Silly. (I'm enjoying it)
Ep 1: The poster & the name of the drama brought me in, I didn't think I would end up liking any part of it. Thought, it would be like Midnight Romance in Hagwon, but the first 5 mins of the episode were so hilarious. I hoped that the woman who was pestering our ML wasn't the FL but a supporting character. This just has me intrigued as in where is this going. By the end of the episode we still haven't connected the first scene to any of what's going on. It could be a future event or it could be just a dream she had in a future. Wow, what a rollercoaster of a ride. The guy we thought she was dating was actually two-timing her and when she finds out, he acts all high and mighty calling her a backup & a fake. Yup we have 1 disgusting character right here. But still, I didn't much care for how the FL was trying to go after the woman he was two-timing with instead of the two-timer. Him she was too lenient with, especially with how rude he was to her later on.Ep 2: Lee Yoo Young, the actress portraying Kim Hong Do has such beautiful eyes. She is lovely, but this role doesn't suit her. I can picture in her in an all leather outfit doing something badass. In my opinion, she was miscast, apart from few cutesy scenes her portrayal seems kinda flat. Someone like Park Bo Young would have been a better choice. Coming to the character, she should have quit working at that place a long time ago. While all workplaces have their own issues, you still need to be able to depend on just one person to back you up. Things are going all wrong for her, from her superior copying her design to her childish cringy ex trying to frame her, it was ridiculous to watch. I liked 1st episode better. The thing where she didn't even realize that he was pretending to have not seen her was just too hard to believe. While I may not have liked this episode that much, I'm going to continue watching because I still have hope for this drama.
Ep 3: It was better than episode 2nd but not because everyone at her workplace suddenly grew a conscience. The gaslighting ex and his gf who stole her idea were just horrible, let's not even talk about higher ups who enabled them. They all deserve each other. It was kinda comedic when the designer Camille showed up suddenly to hire Hong Do, but I figured it was time something went right for Hong Do. The rest of the episode was a teacher taking care of her student, some of which funny as well.
But the drama was fun to watch.

Keep hoping for it to get better! I'll hold out hope until the final episode.
Despite it having such good actors, I'm not loving it so far.Curly hair can look so gorgeous and the bangs as well when styled right. They went out of their way to make her look unappealing, especially with the red cheeks. Korean dramas need to start portraying curly hair better, instead of using it as poor prop for makeovers. (This reminds me of Princess Diaries from 2001. It is now 2025 and this is the best they can do?) The formula is getting old.
This is coming from someone who enjoys makeovers. But I am also someone who appreciates beauty in all its forms, I love women flaunting natural curls just as much as I love watching polished sleek hair.
The story so far is okay, but watching it is a bit trying because the female lead keeps stumbling like a new born calf and it is the kind of chaotic that I don't enjoy watching.
I still begrudgingly return expecting it would get better. The younger versions have a better story than the present ones. Man, I feel bad, the actors are actually ones that I like.

Led by a talented cast but the visuals are bad. The story is kind of okay.
Ep 1 to Ep 10: I saw so many familiar faces in episode 1 alone. The drama has such a good cast, which includes supporting and guest actors. I have to say Ren Jia Lun has such a heart warming smile. The way he smiled as A Gou when the FL was petting him like a puppy. It had the Labrador energy. I have seen Xing Fei in many dramas but can't say that she has impressed me as an actor. For me her most memorable role was Forget You Remember Love, that's saying a lot because her character was messed up, that entire drama was messed up. So back to this one, I am invested in the story because of Ren Jia Lun, loved him in One and Only. So far, he is following the script, the characters seems okay to me, especially since he is not yet an adult. They are growing up. I loved Peter Ho's character King Xin, he did a great job but was failed by the subpar visuals. The visuals are the worst part about this drama, it seems like the drama was put together a long time ago and only released recently. Was this review helpful to you?
