Haha sorry i started my rant and couldnt stop. But i suppose i can see why some people like this drama...actually no i dont. I think we've had a terrible 2 months of horrible dramas so maybe it makes this one look better

Very well said. I agree some dramas have good side stories and i find myself paying attention to them.
To be honest i really wish i liked welcome to samdalri...as both leads are some of my favorite actors. Maybe i had high expectations of the drama. Im not getting the feel good happy small town vibe from this drama. The leads dont have chemistry in my eyes..like i can see the blank stare in ji chang wook's eyes. Lol. This drama has nothing to offer..maybe something i learned from main lead's father is that bitterness will only make you miserable and make you look old and unforgiveness will always have a demon hanging around you. (I dont need a drama to teach me these things, i see it in real life all the time) and the dad is just there bitter and old making everyones life miserable..like yeah ok.

I haven't seen reply 1988 so i cant compare..i can just watch this as is. And frankly, to me, its boring. The leads have no chemistry..althoigh i love the actors seperately. The side story isnt interesting to me, the "small town, carefree, happy vibe" isnt there.
Maybe its my fault, as i went in to this drama with high expectations

I think its pretty normal to fast forward through some parts of dramas. I rate my dramas based on how much i had to fast forward through it. 😅 i remember watching the red sleeve cuff and not having to fast foreward..i can count probably on one hand the dramas i loved so much and didnt fast forward.

Also i think i only watched like 2 dramas of the ones you mentioned. I need to watch more good dramas..

My demon is trash, i dropped it and regret starting it lol. This show had a lot of high hopes because of the actors and i think people were expecting "hometown cha cha cha" vibes...but for me personally this show did not hit. I am going to continue watching cause im a stubborn b*tch but def speeding through it..like fast lol

Ji chang wook is my favorite actor and i try to watch all his dramas. This drama is just not hitting for me...idk. not one bit. Its like a 4 for me 😭

Im glad to know you gave it another try..tbh this drama is for people who recognize they have chemistry with someone but cant act on it. If you pay attention the chemistry between the leads is so good..but they wont act on it due to personal issues and respect for each other. Also the personal growth is good

I thought they were there for each other in their most vulnerable moments. They had plenty of screen time and got to know each other. They most certainly didnt admit they liked each other but the chemistry was there. They respected each other as work partners and friends first but they couldnt deny that they were attracted to each other. Even knowing each others flaws and all..

Their chemistry is so good. People who say there is no romance in this drama are either blind or like 10 years old.
I love the character growth in this drama. The leads have a lot of on screen time and so much chemistry.

Hey, some people never change..they live 80 years with flaws they could have changed and never do. In this drama, the FL recognizes she has flaws and then has a hard time changing..its realistic, as far as dramas go lol
I know maybe some people want a happy and dandy drama and for the most part this drama delivers, but it also put something realistic in there which i appreciate

I would think you'd enjoy historical dramas as some of them, or at least the ones i watched, have mystery and romance. Dont watch a random historical drama like the new "the match makers" drama that one is just awful...id say worst drama of 2023.
But there are some REALLY good ones that are SO worth the watch. I can reccomend 3 really good ones

Its just background music to their netflix trailer right? I wouldnt know that song its not even in their ost for the drama. I do have a friend that works for netflix though i dont know if he can help LOL
