This is the only version I wasn’t team Ren because in this version it didn’t seem that he loved her and they didn’t have too much interaction. Even when he “confessed “ it wasn’t real. It was only to show her how she truly felt and the life she truly wanted and it wasn’t in the village and with anyone else but Thyme. You will definitely want her to be with the second lead on the other 2 versions 😁

It got on my nerves, and watch the Chinese version for yourself and make your own opinion. That’s my favorite version. The FL was annoying at times because of all the versions she’s the one that made him suffer longer.
The high ratings and reviews for this one made me have high hopes but it ended up been my least favorite of the 3 versions I’ve watched (Boys over Flowers and Meteor Garden 2018 plus this version). While I prefer shorter series like this one, that didn’t work in the favor of this series this time. Been a shorter version meant the leads (and the second couple) had no time to develop chemistry. The whole time they felt more like siblings than anything else. I can’t believe people are saying they had “great chemistry” they did not have any chemistry as a couple, they did as friends or siblings (minus the kissing) but not as a couple in love. I found the ML’s face and lips annoying LoL. The FL was a cry baby and she would yell when she was talking to people when upset, mad etc it was annoying. I found the guys more immature in this version. We all know all the versions are flawed and the ML is toxic but because this one was shorter, it was more in my face how flawed the whole story is. There were a couple of things that were more believable in this version. Btw the best acting came from the ML’s mom in my opinion(she’s a beautiful woman, at first I thought she was playing the sister). I enjoyed this version but my favorite will always be Meteor Garden (2018), Boys over flowers is my second favorite but I hated the ending. If u haven’t watched any of the versions and don’t want to invest a lot of time, then this is the best option for you. However, if u have the time, watch Meteor Garden or BOF (or all of them) don’t go by people here saying this is the best version. Decide for yourself (I haven’t watched the Japanese version but it’s only 9 episodes so I know I won’t like it. I couldn’t finish the first version of Meteor Garden 2001, it was the worst. The guy was so abusive that even when they were dating he slapped her).
I’ve watched hundreds of series through the years but this one has been the most ridiculous one. Everyone is an idiot and insufferable. The bad guy is the only one that the writer tried to make into the smartest, richest, all knowing, all powerful, never failed guy (even more than the 2 people that were supposed to be above him, the ML and his dad) and it was just ridiculous and implausible. The FL and the sister In law were competing to see who was the biggest idiot. The ML was an oblivious idiot. The writing was just extremely bad. I read somewhere that this writer does the same in all his series. I’ll make sure I never watch anything of his.
I don’t understand the high rating in this hot mess. I get that it may be addicting to some but this drama is full of bad writing. Every single episode, if you are paying attention, even the small details are badly done. The brother in law and his assistant show up everywhere and see everything. The big reveal on episode 8, can be easily figured out from the first episode. Every single episode is a worse than the next . The ML is an oblivious idiot and the FL it’s a doormat without any common sense. Episode 8 the whole thing when she’s trying to stop her brother, is laughable (phone doesn’t work, gets in an accident, stopped by police, taken to the police station, gets in car, car is on E hahahhahaha) you can’t make this stuff up, or I guess u can. Because letting her family thinks she’s dead is better than going to jail, dumb, dumb, dumb. The body that was found with the thug was the other lady so his theory of her been the killer (that’s what he threaten her with) falls right there. Also, what did she gain from doing all of that? How this drama has a 7.3 rating here it’s beyond me. The most boring, frustrating, lackluster and underwhelming drama I have ever watched. It should be called “the inner thoughts of 2 shy introverts”

She deserved it. 2- the fact that he quit his company for no reason after working so hard to build it from the ground up 3-I understand his ex felt really guilty but what she did to him was messed up on every level so his bff had no business seeking her out all the time and even asking her to work at the company. 4- The ML should’ve cut his toxic mom out of his life for good 5-The ending was awful in my opinion. I expected more 6-Their relationship part was very short.
