It's a female cop, not a guy . . . . The pronouns are off in the description. She does have a male superior, but it's her story not his. The whole description is a little off, I'll recommend an edit now. Basically she is assigned a serial killer case and each murder brings her closer to the truth.
It was 'meh'? It took a while to get going, the plot wasn't super developed, and the solution was pretty obvious. . . It's okay for a rainy day, watch something over lunch like I did. I wouldn't expect too much out of it though.

Apparently what happened is this:
Mystery 1: Several years ago an old man had opened a sauna, but he became ill suddenly. His son killed the old man and took his place, telling everyone he had been 'raised from the dead'. The son then kept the sauna running and his 'miracle' story attracted guests. He would take pregnant women who visited the sauna, kill them and bury their bodies in the spirit wall. The babies were killed and cooked in the soup creating a drugged meal given to unknowing sauna guests. They in turn were drugged and saw weird, magical things that made them believe the sauna was spiritual and kept its fame spreading (GROSS!)
Mystery 2: The owner of the sauna fell in love with the wife of a local prince and she ended up pregnant. The prince found out and went to handle it. His steward killed the sauna owner and threw the body in the hot springs. The prince then attempted to force feed his wife medicine to trigger an abortion, but it accidentally killed her.
Mystery 3: To cover up her death, the steward went to bury her on the mountain. There he somehow ran into her father who cut him in half with wires and left him there to die. Dad didn't seem to sad about her death - he didn't save her child or bury her properly. . . . to be fair, she was in love (knowingly it seems) with a cannibal ?♀️
Mystery 4: Now that the mystery is out, the prince is thrown into prison. His father-in-law breaks into the prison, but instead of wanting to kill his daughter's murderer he is there to rescue him ? The father-in-law is killed, but dies saying he wanted to save the prince because he thought the prince would give him a title or position (now we wonder how the prince could do that. . . who is this prince with such power?
Mystery 5 (the weird last scene): Years ago, the emperor's palace was under attack. When the prince rode to his rescue, only the emperor's remains were there to be found and the palace was ransacked. The only possible identifiers to locate the emperor would be seven points (moles / freckles) on the sole of his foot. Woah! Detective suddenly recalls that the PRINCE has the same symbol on the sole of his foot! We not know the prince is either the emperor himself or at least an heir (we weren't sure about that part). Thus his power and why his father-in-law tried to save him even though he killed the woman. ?♀️

It seems to have 30 episodes, each 2 minutes. This does seem to be the right show - it has Liu Sang in it.
The timing is all a bit confusing.
Not sure why it's taking so long given it was already filmed in 2016 . They must not be able to find a slot on TV right now.
