They do it because people are becoming more and more stupid - only focused on looks that has a huge impact on the viewers. Ever been on chinese social media? Every damn post is about "how to slim down your face like actress xy...... how to loose weight like xy".......
People are so blinded by good looks and pretty shots that they cant think straight. Most of the comments here are just about "uwu look how my fave actor is so hot....." - millions of braindead people
