Si Ying & Jing Mie in the 1st timeline actually tried to have the DG Tantai Jin fall for someone so he can open the path of compassion. In the novel, she made JiWu into her demon king figure with the pill she created. After seeing Tantai Jin using the God slaying crossbow, she tried to recruit him knowing he's the next devil king with the same pill and attempt to seduce him. I know it might sound strange but I'm glad the drama kept Tantai MingLang as the villain in the mortal act. He really was twisted in the original story especially torturing Tantai Jin he hated the most and killed the rest of his siblings including his sisters. Having Tantai Minhua as the final villain in the climax was so sudden cause he was acting like a crazy spoiled rotten teenager.
