It wasn't visually stunning, nothing was special, but it was a good solid movie. I was hoping there won't be any magic in it after most of the movie worked well without it. In the end, they messed it up, but it had some deep moments.

How scary is it? Can you watch it without getting nightmares?
Don't watch it at night if you don't like being scared. Sometimes ghosts appear suddenly that scared the hell out of me a few times. I agree with the other commenter "It's more of a supernatural drama than horror."
