I agree with this except for the last line lol. "Black is beautiful" was created to combat Western and mostly…
i wasnt aware of where it came from / started so thank you for letting me know, i agree it is still problematic but i also think we all need to take time to understand each other more, we're now globally connected like never before and we all want to be understood but not always want to be understanding or take that time.
i hope people understand that Koreans often have the idea of "us and them" for beauty standards, its something I've become to realise from friends and loved ones, they often only think about their own race/people and don't hold these standards internationally. i very often see Korean friends/family/people I've dated compliment, black women or women, with golden skin from other countries the "pure white skin" is something that's deep-rooted and desired in Korea, yes its dated but Korea is a country where many if not most traditions still stand strong, i don't think they should be bashed for that and feel like people jump to conclusions too fast without knowing. many people in the west have the desire to have darker tanned skin should they be bashed the same way Koreans/Japanese/Chinese want fair skin? many of my European friends want to be super tanned because they think it looks "healthy" so does that make not tanned people look unhealthy?? white is "pure" tanned is "healthy" black is "beautiful" Let's not forget we all have our own way of describing colour that could suggest the opposite isnt such and such...
The agency stated that she passed away suddenly, so no one knows the reason 😔
yeap! so much i want to say but i've seen my own friends not believe me when i was sick in hospital and then 2 months to recover after it... im glad to see people realising
Not my usual type of drama but i really enjoyed this! for me it was something very new, i admit Gong Yoo brought me to watch it haha but I'm glad i did I'm also a fan of Sun Yung
Wow! how have i just seen that there's 20 eps!!! lol I'm actually quite hooked on this show now and find joon hyuk quite hot even tho he is a dirty cheater
im actually enjoying this drama lol (it isnt the best for sure, and i get many peoples point) but i like some of the characters and the second lead females romance and some of the other storylines
This Drama deserves to be rated 10! at least a 9!!! i cant say why it wouldn't be! all around the best drama produced i think, the acting, the storyline, costumes and they didn't once drop the ball from the start its been solid the whole way thu!!
To add onto what @melissa said, I also think when she said that she hopes that if he sees her in the next life,…
that was so mean lol and not telling him she loved him made me feel so sad all the time he would ask! i get why she did it but she didnt need to keep hurting him, he loved her so soo much and always did and he also didnt have an easy life, i think she should have been more open with him and talked about her feelings - king or not lol
ahhhh i cant believe its over! i loved this drama soso much and fell in love with San but the final ep i didn't…
i have to say i really didnt like the way Dok Im was cold and a little mean to san alot of the times..... i get that she felt that was her way of keeping something to herself by not giving her heart but the person she loved also lived such a difficult life and truly only loved her and never gave up! i wish she could have been more honest about how she felt and about the other women, tho i know why she wasnt
