I agree. IS might be a typical xianxia but the main couple is a rlly intersting combo. They're always torturing each other and backstabbing one another it cracks me up. Epsiode 5 is iconic

I'm so glad everything is going ok. At first, even I worry about how well recieved it will be but now I guess its all for nothing. I've seen that a lot of Yang Zi fans actually look more favorably on this drama than the initial situation where they're boycotting. I think it's all because of how interesting Yan Dan's character actually is compared to what everyone thought at first. I see a lot of ppl say this drama is "very fragrant"

From what i heard, (cuz i didn't see GGS and XiangMi) Yan Dan is actually way different from JinMi and Tong Nian. There are ppl that says Yan Dan is actually more interesting and full than JinMi and the only downside is Yang Zi wasn't given enough time to get to know and construct this character more. She's clever and playful, the kind that I haven't seen in other FLs so far. She often sheds crocodile tears, too.
