Geez cut the drama some slack much of the writing has been cut down to this bc of the government. There's a pretty neutral reviewer I saw on douyin who points out that this drama's story does have flaws and many of it is cuz of the cutting but it also have it's strong points in it's story that's quite interesting. It's just not handled well enough. U were not blind to flaws but u were blind to it's good points

*rolls eyes* this is originally a drama about Emperor WuZong aka Li Yan but they changed the name cuz of censorship for whatever reason. Fyi Li Yan died at the age of 31 so yeah
