dont hate me but I feel like this drama left an even more lasting mark in my heart than the Untamed did and actually toppled ALing's place in my heart. Like not even BL and YouFei can distract me from continuously rewatching (although YouFei was a sort of disappointment and not a lot of ppl liked it)
you know what I like about this novel? the fact that fan Xian's family has no toxic relationships even tho he's the "illegitimate" son and are very close. i hardly see this kind of thing
the movie wasn't that entertaining as i thought it would be (guess I got sick and tired of anti japanese and republican era war dramas bc my dad ONLY EVER watch it) and only came cuz of TianYu but the only thing I got was a bunch of old dudes and actors who i dont rlly give a shit about (I even skipped the Lay and Li YiFeng part since I only came for Ma TianYu)
