In what episode does she find out that the guy she is looking for is shi meng, and not his brother?
At the start of episode 20, Shi Meng finds out (from Shi Yi) that he/Shi Meng is the one whose presence helps Feng Yan when she is in her traumatic/sleeping state. But it isn’t until episode 21, when Feng Yan remembers her childhood trauma that she herself realizes Shi Meng saved her as a child when they were kidnapped.
Okay so I’m almost finished rewatching this and I have to say some people SERIOUSLY overreact to certain aspects…
Ps. They should also sue the hospital and all the people involved in perpetrating this fake leukemia diagnosis and treatment. That should cover the ten million she needs to divorce him.
Honestly, it would have been better if they had divorced and then been on equal footing if he wanted to earn her trust and love back.

When I say we wanted to see more from him I mean:
1. Episode 10-11, she finds out wha the has done and he in unapologetic. He literally says that if he had it to do over, he would do it again.
Then he basically imprisons her in their house and *repeatedly* says “I will never let you go” often while physically restraining her. He shows zero respect for her as a person with autonomy and agency. He treats her like a pet that he owns and controls.m He literally drags her around by her arm while she is yelling at him to let her go (and no one else in the household seems to give a crap because apparently they also think he has the right to control her every move).
And it also kind of sucks that he couldn’t have the insight into how horrible he was without her repeatedly having to tell him. That should have shown more growth. She lays some heavy facts on him in episode 11 starting at 31:44. He had zero insight into himself.
And his response is to tell her about “falling in love with her” and stalking her without her knowledge. And admitting that he never once thought about HER feelings or wants—or how much he caused her to suffer with a fake leukemia diagnosis — just that HE wanted her. How are we supposed to believe that he loved her when he admits he never once thought about what was best for her or even considered her suffering??
How can this drama be rated 7.6 when the main lead is a manipulative psychopath ???? How can some people still…
Sadly too many people misinterpret toxic possessions as “romantic”. It’s sad and scary to realize how many people have his unforgivable actions a pass.

I junk most of us would hav even happier if he suffered more and longer consequences. They were back together really fast. We wanted to see him really demonstrate more change and not be so easily forgiven. (Frankly it is more the broken trust that he should have had to earn back…)
now about halfway through and I'm only now realising flaws by how choppy the flow is. Its like a road where there…
I assume you eventually got to the part where you find out the male lead (illegally and unethically) faked the female mead’s cancer diagnosis so she thooght she was dying and needed his bone marrow to save her—all so he could trick her into being with him…
Maybe because it is super toxic....? He made her belive to have a deadly illness only to meet her for example...…
Yes— but people generally want to root for the good guys and this drama made the male lead toxic and controlling to the point that it was hard to want to root for her to stay with him.
There is no question that the ML committed an unforgivable deed, Credit must be given to the FL for standing by…
I’m not sure “credit is due” to her for forgiving him and trusting him so fast when he did not change his ways quickly. He was lucky she was a much better person that he get was and forgave him.
In real life this could be called a codependent trauma-bonded relationship with a woman who accepts emotional abuse from her controlling husband.
You should watch season 2 after. You will enjoy that more after the roller coaster ride in season 1
Is season two more about how you can be a toxic manipulator who puts another human being you say you love through pain and annd emotional trauma but you suffer no consequences?
Of course you have a choice to do anything to your liking but I would say to please give it a shot. Their love…
No, HER love was pure. His “love” was obsession that eventually we are supposed to believe is love (hopefully with a lot of growth it was actual love). But what he did to her (when he barely knew her) was so manipulative and controlling that there is no way he actually loved or respected her. He just wanted her.
Watched it when it came out. Loved it then. Rewatched it after the second part and loved it even more. The plot…
I wish he had suffered more and had to work a lot harder for her forgiveness and to earn her trust (which he completely broke). He did not deserve her forgiveness—he was just lucky she was a much better human being than he was.
yk normal people just ask the person they like out on a date...
But then he would risk rejection and not be controlling ever part of her. He doesn’t want an equal partner he can respect, he wants her as a possession (since he only knew her from two encounters previously—there is no way he loved her before doing his horrific plan).
Absolutely loved it. Main Cast were very loveable, though the actresses who played the mom role was poor didn't…
Glad you thought this was “Cute and fluffy” 🙄 interesting that you think that the male lead being a controlling stalker who lies and manipulates the female lead into getting with him T falsifying her medical records and convincing her she was dying of cancer is somehow romantic and acceptable instead of scary and abusive.
Great storyline and very good acting by most of the cast. The FL actress isn't up to the same level as the ML…
Did you miss the part with there male lead is a manipulative and controlling sociopath who traps the woman into a relationship by telling her she is dying of cancer?
don't listen to the comments and go watch it!!YES last 7 episodes are meh but.. there's no but for a rom-com it's…
He is absolutely emotionally abusive to her! Just because he didn’t physically hurt her does not excuse that he made her think that she was dying of cancer and that his bone marrow was the only way to save her—and then used that to force her to be with him. How is this not abuse?!
I've never seen so many 1 reviews. . what's really going on?
Read the review above by Madeinsiyi. It pretty much sums up the one star reviews. Basically, the male lead if revealed to be a controlling and manipulative sociopath who was interested in this woman after two brief meetings and then proceeded to stalk her, and then use his money and power to falsify her medical records to convince her she was dying of leukemia and only his bone marrow could save her. He did all of this to basically force her to be with him. (And he I completely unrepentant and says he would do it all over again if he were given the choices! The premise of this story is disgusting and not romantic. He treats her like a possession to be won. Lots of hate because this is treated as “romantic” instead of stalker, controlling, and abusive behavior in this drama.
Honestly, it would have been better if they had divorced and then been on equal footing if he wanted to earn her trust and love back.
