For me, Kim's main motivation why he keeps his murder board, snoops around his dad's study for clues and gather information as much as he can on the level of threats to their family, stems more from his guilt and his grudging respect to his brother. Kinn, the middle child stepped up for Tankhun. While he, Kim, lives/pursues Kinn's dream of being a singer. In his own way, he simply wants to protect (in the shadows) the people he cares about (his immediate family). He fees he owes Kinn AT LEAST that.
Have you noticed that Kinn was pretty cool with Porsche's spitting on him as early as Ep1 when he kidnapped Porsche and in the jungle when he thought Porsche was poisoned? No one else could get away with such rude behaviour.

Both his and Porsche's childhood were snatched away. They were simply brothers who love their siblings so much that they are willing to sacrifice a lot even if it's hard and lonely most times.

"I forgave you a long time ago." Porsche really did. Remember the gentle tap on the sleeping Kinn's shoulder after the bike ride with Vegas? The little caring gestures he does for Kinn in the forest? They're almost automatic, coming from the heart of a man who has long forgiven.
