It's nice that you articulated the same things I felt about the show. I don't understand how people overrate some of the shows this much. The rating is not about how much you like the original story. My additional thoughts on the show:

- The only thing I loved about the show is that overall critic of establishment. People believing they are on the good side so whatever they do is okay. That's a good foundation on the anti-hero story. Bromance was also good.

- One of the worst pilot episodes I have ever seen. I kept watching because of the rating. Nothing was clear and WWX was super cringy. I still have no idea who summoned him how what happened to that guy, what is it about the mask?

- There were some really boring parts throughout the show.

- I am at episode 35 and cannot make myself watch the show.

- To people giving 10s and 9.5s to something this amateur, if you love it from books or something it is all the more reason to hate it because scenes and acting in so many parts were very sloppy. Let me give a literal example of a scene. The senior sister's husband to be is shown and WWX is right across. Then WWX starts talking happily while the other guy is on the other side. 2 seconds later WWX stops as if he just saw the guy.

- In what world this show is better than Nirvana in Fire, please someone explain.

- I will go back to don't trust the high ratings of Chinese shows in mydramalist motto.

- Overall I didn't see one interesting Wuxia (this is my fourth different show) and this flying around while doing nothing is an insult to martial arts (I am okay with it if I see some fighting capabilities).

Should I first watch "Masquerade"? What kind of relationship these shows have?

Great story. I loved it. My only wish is that I don't see Teacher Kim in other shows. She has terrible acting skills.

I should have started this show 2 weeks later. I don't know how am I gonna wait for the last episodes.

In 10 episode format, every episode consists of two parts. With that first half of episode 7/10.

Got kdrama burnout and I cannot see any way to get cured.

Tal Tal was by far the deepest character.

Every time I look at this page I imagined a story heavy with politics because of the poster. First 5 episodes are super fast with lots of action. Hopefully, it will continue like this.

I dropped this after Ep. 10. At the beginning, I liked this show a lot. I Secretary Kim's character was very good unlike so many rich/successful guy and under educated girl stories. She is a hard working, confident, smart, strong woman. Then, literally the plot ran out of gas. TVN has some dramas where the plot is not very important but it still has a meaning. This had no point.

I am looking at the top shows on this website: "Come and Hug me", "Just between lovers", and this one (this one has the best love story out of three as it told the story of two people depending on each other for a long time). All of them circle around two people having some bad memory in their past. Pinocchio had a similar story line and it was better than these and it is rated lower. Some things might be subjective but these all were really boring love stories. Previously, I could trust the ratings on this website but I feel like there is a shift with the ratings toward overrating terrible "love" stories.

1- Agree with etcetera. Six flying dragons should be your priority.
2- Try "Stranger" (crime), "Nine Times Travel" (time travel), "Reply 1988" (nostalgia), "Dong Yi" (Joseon).

a- I still couldn't find any good Chinese shows after NIF1&2. I think I will give up.

I realized the way the scenes are super slow in animes doesn't do well in real movies. Slow conversations were too boring.

When they were working together they had insane good chemistry. They just couldn't turn it into a normal couple chemistry. I feel the same as you.

I also believe they have crazy good chemistry like a husband and wife. However, later episodes are getting more boring and I am really sad as I was enjoying the show a lot.

Ep8: Workshop scenes were mostly boring, then suddenly things got interesting.

I tried "Marriage not dating" that but it was too cringy. Just couldn't pass the pool scene. That show looked like it was made for teenage girls.
