If the anti-WOKE crowd can rant about being against WOKENESS, I can defend being WOKE.
Especially on a drama series that is probably the WOKE drama series I have ever seen.
I was bored about 2 years ago and was flipping channels.
I noticed one of them with that same always -look on their face.
I want to say CNN, but it may have been another worldwide news network from The US?
Anyways; I flipped -past the channel and switched to to see what the always-angry person was talking about?
One of the most hilarious news shows, I have ever seen (I don't watch national news networks, because they have become way-too toxic).
Anyways, what caught my attention was her ranting about how she is NOT anti-gay, she have many "gay" friends (hate to bring American politics to the party) and just do not want her tax dollars/US Government Healthcare to pay for fancy WOKE cosmetic surgery for transgender people.
I was like:
Okay!
I also hate paying taxes, (like many people) but what exactly is fancy WOKE cosmic surgery for transgender people?
The news anchor asked the same thing?
She got no answer---just more rants about being against WOKE/WOKENESS!
After getting no answer, she asked if the lady understood what WOKE means?
Again no answer ---just more nonsensical rants. This time about how her freedoms/Free Speech is under attack because of WOKE Hollywood, gay marriage, men dressing up as women to use the women's restroom, WOKE coronavirus masks, restrictions, vaccines, and everything thing else she hates.
The anchor asked again , this time with an explanation of where that term came from, and even provided screen footage of the term for the people sitting at home.
She didn't got back to the 1980's like I did, earlier, with American rap group, Public Enemy, but the anchor (like me) is a member of the African American community and grew up (like I did) understanding what being WOKE means in the US, and where it came from.
She tried everything she could to keep from laughing at that woman's willful ignorance, on national/worldwide tv.
This typical always -angry person is against fancy WOKE cosmetic surgery for the transgender community, but doesn't even know the name of the surgery she is against and have no idea what WOKE means!
If you are against your taxes paying for Government Gender- Reassignment Surgery/ Gender-Affirming Care ---at least try to get the name correctly!
I would have accepted sex change surgery, and respected her opinion.
One thing to be unaware of the proper name of the surgery, and being unaware of what WOKE means.
It is another thing to be TOLD and still going off on nonsensical rants, for the entire WORLD to see how wilfully ignorant many Americans are...

As a WOKE African American, I understand that the term became popular way-back in the mid 1980's (1984/85) with rap group Public Enemy.
The second lead rapper (Flavor Flav) wore a giant alarm/clock necklace.
Why?
Because he was always WOKE & knew what time it was!
What was/still is Public Enemy still known for 40 years later (Which means the anti-WOKE crowd had 40 years to research this information) rapping against social injustice, rapping against hatred, discrimination, and bigotry.
So; If you are against "WOKENESS" that means either :
A. You don't understand what the term means.
B. You do understand what the term means & you are just an hateful bigot.
C. You had 40 years to figure this information out and just being willfully ignorant.

I wanted to see the Ding brothers in action.
They are both the same age, and was actually in a drama series together.
Serenade of Peaceful Joy.
It was about 70 episodes. I dropped it around episode 55?
It was a good drama, but way too long and got boring from episode 8-55.
I saw Ding Jai Wen, but didn't see Ding Yu Xi, because I was either asleep, or he didn't arrive by episode 55?
Anyways, it's good to see the Ding brothers together. They do look similar on their MDL pics, which was clearly taken years ago...
Love this show!
Yes they made a few changes, but in the original comic & anime they did have a woman.
She was a general and was in love with General Qiu.
And Wang Qi was secretly in love with
Cui Bei.
Which is why I was nervous about this drama actually coming out.
But it looks like they are not going to mention how much Wang Qi loves Cui Bei, due to China's censorship.
Let's just enjoy the drama for what it is...
