Actually, his cousin's mother and his mother are sisters. So the Mo family has two daughters, the first from his wife and the second from a servant. Looking at the drama, I also felt that some things were missing, the novel really helped me. Its remain an amazing drama anyway
I did my best to end this drama, the plot was so uninteresting for 19 eps. The beginnings were pleasant, but it turned out to be, so so so.... slow and predictable... The facial expression or acting ability of the two main leads are awkward for me. The chemistry was bad even though I can feel the ML was into the FL, I never felt the same way about the FL. Her expression was never happy or really angry, a little sad but not too much, never satisfied or always lost... A psychologist who doesn't know where she is ...!!! I feel like she feels sorry for him and tries to help him, not really in love. My conclusion: This drama is a waste of time.
When I finished the 2001 version, I decided to give it a try... OMG, Seriously !!! They added some new scenes... I'm only the third episode, and I regret the actor of the first version, this ML character is far too violent and aggressive...

So I understand perfectly well when he says - I didn't touch you on the island, I'm the bad guy! - I did not touch you afterwards, I'm still the bad guy! - It's not just because I was drunk, what happened last night, I want to do it again. - He wanted their marriage to be real! - Why does he have to accept that?
- There are two steps for the guy, before and after (when he was wrong and when he tries to make things work, he's clumsy and doesn't know how to express himself) - But the girl continues to "butterfly" with the boys, who call them all her friends regardless of their feelings, and do everything to help her sister.

- What ever worse can happen Lakorn, they always have a happy ending.
After all, if you love, you must understand forgiveness!!! What they say!

This drama is lacking by so much point, it makes me feel upside down like a big mess. Overacting/bad acting of some characters, an annoying female lead, scenes and characters which have no sense or they don't develop enough. It’s poorly made.
But I was willing to watch, whatever the rape, I love Push's character, he helped to keep it till the end. He was wrong at the beginning, but I pity him after, he returned everything, what proof she wants more? She was just too much implacable for someone in love, I never felt her love for him. She was deaf to all his apologize and pleading.
