The pilot trailer definitely gave the impression the bullying would go on longer even after the tutoring started but even from the recent trailers I didn't think it would be over by ep2, I'm guessing there must be more than the loan shark pushing Sailom to do sex work to repay him and the brother getting arrested presumably for stealing from his patients to fill the rest of the episodes maybe something to do with Kang's dad.

I think because you know how bad Sailom has to be feeling to turn to Kang for comfort, I think that's what affects Kang so much.
