So we get the Chinese version banned in China and with an open ending, but no second season. Then we get another Chinese version, but it's a censorship version 'bromance' this time, but no second season (but maybe in future who knows really). THEN we FINALLY get a Thai version and this time we think it might be done the right way, no open ending, no 'bromance' bullshit, no censorship. But then they put a fucking 16-year-old to couple with a 27-year-old? What the fuck? Is this novel cursed or something? Ffs
Shiyi deserved so much better. Damn, even I, as a watcher, deserved better than this. 36 episodes and they only get together on the very last minute, are you fucking kidding me?
This drama should've had 24 episodes at most, and honestly, I'm being generous here. What a waste of potential for a great character (Shiyi) and the actor, who never gets to be the male lead and when he finally gets it, the female lead spends almost every single episode obsessed with the second male lead.
1. 18 - I was catching up on 2022 dramas lol 2. South Korea 3. Romance 4. Hidden Love, Alchemy of Souls Season 2, D.P. Season 2 and the Glory Part 2 5. Celebrity, Moonlight Chicken, The Eighth Sense 6. I couldn't watch many dramas from 2023, but I loved most of the ones I did watch. Also, it was the year which I completed most dramas since I started watching dramas in my life. 120 dramas in total. 7. More good BL dramas from Thailand and less romance-turned-into-bromance from South Korea. Also, fewer episodes from Chinese dramas - more than 30 is too many, so it gets draggy most of the time.
Webtoon site/app. It is already completed 3 seasons, 260 chapters.Just keep in mind that Kdrama is a prequel tangent…
I'm glad that I found your comment before reading the Webtoon. I'll treat it like two different stories, both great in their own way. I've watched a few of bullying-revenge dramas already, but I'm gonna watch The King of Pigs soon, since people recommend it so much lol
