It seems that it is not a typical comedy, although there will probably be some comedic scenes. Overall, I think…
I agree that the balance of serious and unserious scenes in MGB was bad. I was more so reacting to people comparing Revamp to MGB and saying they hope it is not a comedy like MGB, when MGB was bearly a comedy. It's just that the serious and dramatic parts of the story weren't done well.
TL;DR - Comedy and Drama can coexist as a genres in a single series and still be very good.
It's weird to me that people don't want comedy in this show bcs they don't want this to become like My Golden Blood, but the issues I had with GB were so much more than having comedic parts. The serious moments fell flat bcs of execution, not bcs the drama had funny scenes. The vibe I get from the preview is nothing else than serious and even if it had funny scenes, it doesn't make Revamp bad as long as the plot is executed well...
This is so entertaining and well put together. I'm not getting bored at all. Quite the opposite. I love Khanin's character and how he has to adjust to a different society. His personality always slips out when he's alone with Charan and it's the cutest since it shows how he trusts him and sees him as a friend (or more... :3 ). I appreciate Charan not being an "obedient dog". He's not following the kings orders blindly. He has his opinions and stands by them even if it's not by directly confronting the king. Ahhhh I always wish for the episode to never end.
Gosh I never imagined Dakaretai otoko of all things would get a Thai LA Adaptation BUT THEY DID SO WELL!!! I'm so suprised and it isn't even the honey scene, it's more the build up to it. Seeing Akin slowly longing more and more, being so distraught which is so unnatural of him, finally coming to the breaking point where he didn't care about his pride anymore and just had one goal - getting his man. 😌👏
I'm genuinely curious why you think so. I'm not here to hate. Could you elaborate on why you think this way? Especially the "bad acting and production" part.
The first episode was really fun! The location is very pretty. The chemistry between the cast is great! I love that EarthMix have one suitcase and a bag together while everyone else have their own... xdd
This still isn't enough, I'm afraid. He's faced zero repercussions from assaulting Teerak and his friends in the…
I'm gonna be real here and say I kind of... forgot about it. Since I watch a lot of ongoing shows I sometimes forget the beginning episodes. Especially since I'm not always paying 100% attention. But you're totally right. Though sadly I don't see this drama bringing it up ever again. It could've been used to inform about how serious drink spiking and assault is...but oh well.
Why did they try to give Oh a redemption arc? I can't feel bad for him. I understand that he grew up without love, but that doesn't justify any of his actions. It was unnecessary. He could've stayed a bad guy.
There is a way to redeem him if the writers actually needed it that badly.
1. Consequence Outside of Muenfah beating the crap out of him, he could do whatever without any repercussions. Let him suffer a blow so bad he realizes what he has done and changes ways.
2. Taking responsibility If he aproached Teerak and apologized and/or paid of the damages done to Fah's bussiness, we would be able to feel some remorse for him. Somehow it was Rak apologizing to Oh. Why?
It's that simple... no whining about how it's his mother's fault bcs she "didn't love him" will justify hurting other people.
That being said I still very much enjoy the series. Waiting for the next episode is so hard!
