I took Puen's politeness to mean that the two aren't like friends or anything, hence the loose/transactional connection.

I assumed that Nuth told Aob and Puen that they would be paid so Aob asking for the money made sense. My real question is why would Nuth try to hire people knowing that he couldn't pay them.

If they make Nuth the killer/bad guy, I'm going to be disappointed for two reasons. One, that they made it so obvious so early, but two, because they can blame it on the mentally ill person. I mean, don't get me wrong, someone who kills in cold blood is mentally ill, but we see that Nuth is taking medication and thinks/feels that he shouldn't be having these urges, so presumably he's being treated by some doctors. Maybe I'm not making any sense but I'm going to feel cheated if he turns out to be the killer just because he's mentally ill.

Phop is the most adorable and I will be very, VERY sad if anything bad (meaning worse than what he's already going through) happens to him. 🥰😥
