I was thinking about the NC scenes since ep 1 (I feel like they changed) and what I felt was not working for me with them and I realized that, of the ones I could think of, they had at least one "wtf?!" aspect that would pull me out of the scene: lube over the clothes! giant puddle! super obvious penetration-preventing underwear! I end up focusing on that one jarring detail and then the sexiness, assuming there was any, of the scene is lost.

I was enjoying watching thrusting and versing during the scene with Nont and Prom. Then, we're shown a full view of all the positions at once, and both guys are clothed below the waist! That made the thrusting silly rather than sexy. I get that they're not going to show nudity, but don't ruin the scene by making it obvious that they're not actually naked 😤// This 100%!! BUT...they DID show nudity! First in the now very "bait-and-switch" trailer but also in the first ep when Teena and Zouey were in the fancy bathroom at Zoeuy's school and Teena was getting a BJ from him. I distinctly remember bare ass. 👀 Now...was this all part of the tactic of hyping up the sex/nudity only to pull it back? Is it that the Teena actor is comfortable with it but most of the rest aren't? Had they not yet struck the deal with the underwear maker? Whatever the reason, the result is exactly like you put it so well: it's silly rather than sexy.

I like what Soong said about there being handsome guys who just don't turn him on. I feel that way about him and Teena. I wasn't feeling Prom at first, but now I'm really attracted to him 🔥 // Totally with you on this! Yes, when Teena first took off his motorcycle helmet, my jaw dropped like everyone else's, but by now I'm kind of over his looks, but Prom? Oh yes!

To me, all of your questions and concerns are totally valid! I think we all wish there were answers to them. 😂 I think some of them are from bad writing, others from bad acting, and finally bad directing. As you've pointed out, this show is VERY uneven and to me it looks like they are learning as they go, so still time to hope for improvement.

I hope he won't be because I am strangely drawn to him! 😂

I have decided the "lube over the clothes" goes along with the "sex with underwear on," meaning that the show seems to have decided to proceed with intimate scenes as if the clothing doesn't exist (challenging us to use our imaginations?), for whatever reason, so I will play along even if I don't see a good reason to. The garage "puddle" (because that was practically flooding!) though...THAT is still a mystery. 🤷‍♀️😂

I hope you enjoy it! It's my favorite film and I've seen it countless times (I find rewatching films easier than series because it doesn't take as long) and to me the love story and character arc are just so perfect, but the content itself, set on a farm, gets rough and grimy. Anyway, it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love it. 💗

I know what you mean! I just watched "MSP Prom Night Live" on YT over a couple of days and got teary at the end because a) I wasn't there in person to see it and b) it reminded me that the series is over. 😭

Agree 100%! I wasn't expecting to fall in love with them as much as I have. 🥰🥰🥰 It's also one of the best acted series, hands down.

Some of us think you just have to look at it through a different lens and let the awfulness wash over you, lean into the comedic gold! The MDL comments section after each ep airs is hilarious, so stop by if you can! 😄 But of course different strokes for different folks.

I think the general consensus after that first ep where the Japanese dubbing appears, is that they used it to refer back to Zouey's interest in hentai, so no character is speaking it. It was pretty jarring though!

Thank you for confirming that the fantasy Achi saw was Karan's and not his own. I admit to having been confused by that because I thought the only "power" Achi had was hearing thoughts, not seeing thoughts (not sure how to put that). I was also surprised/impressed that the ep ended with Achi going into Karan's condo instead of running away! To me that indicates that even though Achi's telling himself not to lead Karan on, he either wants that fantasy or at least is not against the idea.

I'm new to BL so this is the first time I'm seeing New in anything (Tay too!) and so far I'm super impressed! They are a pillar couple for a reason and are experienced actors.
