Thoughts on EP01 - Wow! I was in awe of how great the first episode was. At first, I thought this would be a heavy slice of life drama with how bullying was emphasized initially. It was also set up in the 90s when homophobic people were more violent and extreme. But the main character’s portrayal was so cute that made me so happy. I love that despite the bullying, he is still positive in life and keeps on loving himself. The supporting cast already ignites the flame of their characteristics and I am sensing the charm of the love story from this show already. I am anticipating the rest of the episodes from this show! I’ve seen a lot of Sono Shunta’s previous drama and all I can say is that this man deserves to be cast because of how good he is at playing his role. But I am happier to see once again, Abe Alan, in another BL-based story because he mesmerized me with his lead role in a drama called “I Became the Lead in a BL Drama.” Araki Towa, on the other hand, is a new actor for me to check out. He is so pretty!
EP01 thoughts - Robin Hood references many loopholes but manages to redeem them during the consequences presented at the end of the first episode. Yin’s cute charm and handsomeness are the best elements for me to continue watching. Of course, War’s excellent acting skills are also one to look out for. In the next episodes, I am hoping that fewer cliche scenes are overly used from other dramas since it does affect my overall enjoyment.
I had a fun time with this short yet loveable BL. Having their romance boost from their professional job as a print media reporter and having fieldwork alongside each other was great and enjoyable to see. The plot and tension were just light but still satisfying.
Watching this after a year of release was a pity because I’m late yet still grateful for another quality BL produce from Japan. Jyutaro and Keito pairing sent out a good amount of serotonin. One is alluringly handsome and the other one is undoubtedly a cutesy. Sometimes, I feel that a few scenes needed huge acting performances that they both lacked at some point. Yet, the overall portrayal of their roles was enough for me to overcome with joy from their chemistry.
The supporting cast and guest roles also delivered a flavorful addition to spice up the story and connect the couple from getting to know each other. So this is mainly an office-based romance roaming between a simple yet smooth flow of love story. It was enough for me and I loved it!
It's an interesting supernatural idea that limits the power to see the future in the span of 4 minutes only. But with a plot that should make the audience in awe but diverted to having a messy ending. This is another typical Be On Cloud’s project that only showcases a high-quality start with an extremely disappointing finale. I understand that the script is trying to give us shocking revelations but the execution was poorly done. If they had enhanced most of their scenes during the last two episodes, everything about this drama would have been a chef’s kiss.
I highly appreciate and am well-devoured by Bas’ extremely outstanding performance as Korn in this series. He stole the show and uplifted the drama’s charisma. The presentation of his role was flawless. The love triangle of Korn, Tonkla, and Inspector Win is way more entertaining than the main couple. They nailed their characters and stole the spotlight even playing as supporting casts. But I must say that Bas and Bible’s chemistry as siblings is so cute that I want to see more of them as sworn brothers in the future.
The intimate scenes are also the best! It was tremendously romantic and amorous. Fuaiz and Bas made the finest sequence of passionate acts in the show. JJ became the third wheel here and I liked it better since the two mentioned paired above were explicit and intense.
In general, 4Minutes is a pretty average BL drama with a fascinating start that loses its spark from the dissatisfying scenarios established in the end. Nevertheless, the acting from everyone was great and set up a unique storyline that distinguished them from other BLs from this year. Nice work!

Its first scene from the first episode was a pouring rain and it already had an impact on me, associating with the main couple’s emotional life story. Japanese BLs always give us a heart-fluttering show with a distinguished script, truly a gem to the industry. The concept of “notebook taker” was fresh and adorable. It also showcased the struggles of people with hearing disability.
An elevated narration that focuses on Kohei’s POV. Living his life tenderly and emphasizing that living with special needs does not make someone not normal. It serves as an eye-opener to its audience that they do not desire pity but instead need warmth and embrace to treat them belong to the world.
We also got Taichi’s POV - a jolly young man with a touching background. As a child with divorced parents, this boy manages to be positive in life all thanks to his grandpa. His decision to quit the university is understandable. Education is an important part of someone’s life but not everyone has the privilege to pursue it. He even wears the same shirts revolving with text from different U.S. states throughout the show but still acts beyond grateful for all the delicious meals he has eaten. From taking numerous part-time jobs to fully committing to focus on his new employer which provides a well-compensated salary, earning money became his top priority.
Their chemistry and pairing were adorably great. An energetic cutie meets a shy and reserved lover boy. I love them so much! But as the episodes went by, I felt that the drama failed to provide a romantic progression. They focus on the youth life drama so much that I badly needed to see more of Taichi and Kohei’s slow-burn romance. They should at least give us a more passionate ending for a couple instead of just confessing and finally accepting each other’s feelings. Nevertheless, there’s no doubt that this is one of the top BLs of 2024 that brings authentic charisma and a teary-worthy life story.
Oh My! I was so excited when I heard that Marry My Dead Body was confirmed to have a sequel, but the outcome was a disappointment. I love Greg Hsu and the movie version but this is not enough to save the show from being a flop.
For a bunch of police officers, they’re all lame and idiots, which was also mentioned by the killer of the story. I understand that all of these are for comedy purposes but they overused it so much that it became annoying.
I finished watching it all because Greg Hsu participated in this. The only time I got super happy was when he mentioned his deceased ghost husband on EP05 when he apologized for mocking gays during his statement with the psycho teacher. Nevertheless, I think that Marry My Dead Body wins my heart all because of the chemistry between the two main leads and not for the comedic parts, which were unrecognizable from this sequel.
Done EP05 and my question is, did the drama already explain how and when both MCs fell in love with each other? Not yet right? I think I needed a little more backstory from this

The boy is not privileged enough to afford a higher education even though everyone should have the right to it. Aside from this, he also has the phase of not realizing his dream unlike everyone else's. They always hit my soft spot and let me indulge in the beauty of story-making. Sugihara on the other hand, consistently showcases how genuine his feeling is towards Taichi. Being understanding and letting go of Taichi to pursue a new field in life was painful yet he still chooses the best for his boy.
I love the slow-burn relationship but at the same time, I am thirsty for more development especially since we are hitting the end of their story for the finale episode next week. Japanese BL never failed to amaze me with their heartwarming concepts and undying chemistry portrayed by their versatile actors. I love this so much!
The story is a meh but the actors are saving it. Jung So Min and Jung Hae In are some of my favorite actors and I feel sad that the storyline wrecks my excitement from their pairing.
Even the second couple does not give that much. The paramedic girl is a good support to the couple but the story from the journalist guy makes no sense to me and doesn't add a good element to the show, making it feel like his character is unnecessary.

The male Beauty Advisor profession as a concept was fresh to me and they did a perfect way of revolving the romance into it.

Toyoda Yudai topped the list to the point that my news feed all over my social accounts was about him. He nailed every hairstyle he got, his eyes and smiles always got my heart, and he was an excellent actor. He reminds me of several BL actors such as Kentaro Maeda and Tatsunari Kimura. Also, I never expected to see Okuno So’s as a fragile and innocent character. The last project I watched him was the role of a badass ex-boyfriend to a chef. He portrayed Natsume in this show flawlessly, this is my favorite drama from his filmography.
Special mentioned as well to the fluffiest yet clumsy Tomoki as Harukawa. His angel eyes were captivating. Sono Shunta always became a major support role in BL shows and I liked every character he got. The rest of the cast was eye candy and established greatness by being firm in their roles.

Story progression may encounter some flaws but the chemistry of the main couple is more than enough for a perfect ten rating. I’m crying with happiness due to the affectionate and loving characters presented in this BL.

It reminds me of some notable school-based series from China that I love. This Taiwanese series has a promising start and I’m just hoping it will continue to achieve our excitement and give us a well-written story. But once again, Taiwanese entertainment is a big fan of incest-like couples, which, Addicted Heroin has a huge influence on. I just wished they disregarded this concept since it wasn’t as good as before. Thankfully, the chemistry and visuals from the cast save the show.
