It has a promising start but the chaotic and messy storylines ruin everything. As well as the bad acting performance of Nat. Please let him attend more talent lessons first before starting in a big role. Max and Gun manage to lift the show yet it is not enough to save the entirety. Sadly, I got too bored and helplessly decided not to waste any more time and drop this.
I haven't watched jp version but this one isn't bad in any way...its pretty standard bl...its light, fun , quirky…
If you have the time, I highly recommend Keita Hatsukoi -the Japanese live adaptation version. It was the fluffiest and best J-BL drama during its year. I adore it so much!
Ida and Aoki are fictional characters that always have a special place in my heart. I trust the on-screen chemistry of Fourth and Gemini to meet our expectations from this Thai remake at least. Yet, what I’m most scared of is how the production might change a lot from the original version (manga or Japanese live adaptation). A similar case happened to Cherry Magic which lost its sparks and charm from the major changes they did.
Changing the dog from the original story into a cat for the sake of advertisement is so funny. The first episode was good; the rom-com is there. Looking forward to more!
What part was open-ended for you, though? There are plenty of people who have already explained the ending, but…
That's how open-ended works. It's up to the viewers themselves to conclude the show.
Everyone is dead -half yes and half no. Yes, because they showcase that the remaining people were still trapped in the woods. No, because we got no confirmation from the production whether any of them managed to survive somehow. This is the beauty of an open-ended finale.
What part was open-ended for you, though? There are plenty of people who have already explained the ending, but…
Open-ended, from the word itself, is obviously the ending of the show, I don't even read many people explained the ending but felt the same devastation from it.
And no, justice is not well-served. The real victims doesn't get the right justice to their cases. The public still saw them in an entirely different point-of-view. The group of bullies and the adults involved literally need to be punished, either by law or hands of evils -which was not clearly seen in the conclusion of the drama,
The drama hahaha. They even made the room number of Doc TER 666, implying his evilness from the story. Yet, I don't hate him that much, it's just that the story needs a villain for the couple's love progression and here he goes.
On the other hand, Dr. Dee's room is 609 and you know what it means. Subconsciously, I realized that the six floors of that building have 66 rooms. Hahaha
Thor's acting performance is always top=notch! Give him his own series already
After EP05, I lost hope for the show. It was so bad that they tried to push the romance by antagonizing the FL.
I love the superpower concept but this series is frustrating. We have an irresponsible father, a grandmother who only cares about heritage, an aunt who is blinded by love, a grandfather who lacks characteristics as someone that family members can depend on, and most annoyingly a group of villains who is trying hard to be like the movie called Parasite. I was not too fond of the fact that they are giving the spotlight to these scammers.
Evolving their supernatural gift through LOVE is ridiculous.
Nice production quality, actors nailed their acting performances, and well-established project. Everything is fine and exceeds the average level of a series, yet the story makes me feel so stressed about how cruel they turn out in Joe’s life. Ming’s sudden realization after Joe’s post-accident wasn’t considered to be a form of love but more of a guilt that keep dwelling in his conscience. My only wish for this series is a well-deserved happy ending for Joe despite his fragile life decisions.
I just finished EP02 and this is my initial review from the show.
I'm a big fan of supernatural powers. I think this is the series's charm yet, the featured powers from the main cast were too typical and boring enough. The characters were unexpectedly annoying which made me feel disappointed right from the beginning.
I-na has to be the sole main character here since she is the only likable one. We have an irresponsible father, a grandmother who only cares about family heritage, an aunt who was blinded by love and lost her self-worth, a grandfather who is too pale to be the pillar of his family and a bunch of scammers who were given the spotlight to shine and romanticized their lives.
Hoping for character development, improvement, and more acceptable plots.
Instead of feeling pity for the new Joe, I can’t because he is weak in decision-making. Imagine yourself being involved with a bunch of people who make your first life miserable but do nothing against it during your second chance of life. I don’t get it, they are pushing us for the romance that has already been ruined and cannot be fixed anymore. Toxic characters do not deserve a happy ending. Not unless, a reasonable character development and redemption arc will be displayed. But in Ming and Tong’s case, there’s nothing they can do to convince me they deserve a happy ending in the show.
Embark on a paranormal journey of revenge to direct us into a deeper and cruel perspective of life -that some people are too corrupted to disregard morals and principles. Honestly, the first few episodes were meh and almost dropped my expectations from the show. Not until the revelation of Non’s backstory happened and everything seemed to get more interesting.
Bullying has continued to ruin several lives since then. The story fueled my anger toward the students knowing that at a young age, these guys are already minions of Satan. Not even a single character from this show is lovable; everyone has a rotted personality. Indeed, birds of the same feather, flock together.
A mess, but the kind of mess that attracts one’s attention. Plot after plot happened but I feel disappointed in how they concluded the show in an open-ended type of finale, without giving proper justice to the victims. I am rooting for New/Tan's vengeance on what happened to his family. He deserves and has the right to be the sole main role here and not anyone else.
Thank you to Jjay for re-introducing me to the show which I used to ignore during its airing period. It was a good drama having a well-established storyline from beginning to end. Yet, the execution was weak to moderate. It has the potential for a sequel that can discuss the aftermath of the chaos in the vacation house, the public sympathy for the fallen victims, and re-surfacing another revenge plot against those who survived the bloody party. And I would like to see the adults too being imprisoned and perish in hell.
The world of doors and it’s unveiling mysteries to its players
Game of death. This has one of the best virtual-reality concepts out there, especially in how they featured several doors with their uniqueness and stories behind them. At first, I was intrigued by the BL theme from the original story, so I started to watch and read the novel simultaneously. However, due to the lack of available legal streaming platforms to binge-watch the show, I put a hold on it first because I believed that the drama's quality deserves to be supported legally. And finally, after months of waiting, I completed them today.
Chinese entertainment has always been a top tier for fantasy stories. Even though government censorship is taking huge restrictions and limitations, the chemistry is so overwhelming that it doesn’t seem to occur in a bromance drama. Lingling is so cute and handsome that I can’t stop staring at him. Ruan Zhu’s manliness is devouring my entirety. I somehow felt too sad at the ending, that they only reunited after 50 years with Lingling holding their memories alone from the real world.
As it was a game to determine the strongest among them, death is inevitable and occurs in each door. Li Dong Yuan, Tan Zao Zao, and Qian Li’s dying was too painful. It took me a while to recover from their deaths one after another. If there is one character I found annoying, it is not the antagonist but the MC’s best friend, Wu Qi. This boy was just a burden to the team and added no spice to the story.
There are loopholes but I tend to disregard them since I mostly enjoyed the overall aspects of the drama. Turning Ruan Lan Zhu into an AI character as a plot is not satisfying. I rather see him dying in the embrace of Lingling instead of bidding farewell to a virtual role. Nevertheless, the whole concept of the story is virtual reality so they give us a love story between an AI and a human.
I will never stop saying that this BL is the fluffiest and most adorable BL currently airing. Kang and Moo are both lovely in their way. The perfect balance of a couple; no push and pull happened between their ship.
I am happy that as early as Shone knew that Moo and he fell in love with Kang, he immediately backed away. Tae on the other hand is just an annoying character that I can’t help but get annoyed despite the background behind his attitude. Payos deserve someone better than him and it may be Jang, the idol.
This show is making my blood boil. It has to be a revenge story and not a love story anymore on how cruel things happened to Joe after the encounter with Ming. If the series pushes the two to the end, I will give this a poor rating. Nobody in the world deserves a hellish treatment from what Joe experienced.
If Joe doesn’t want revenge or chooses to live a peaceful life, he should better avoid any connection with the entertainment industry anymore and walk in towards his new life in a new body. This is more acceptable than letting Ming and Joe fall in love with each other.
One-sided love and the other’s feelings are unknown
It feels like some of Taiwan’s production teams in the entertainment industry are obsessed with incest-like romance. I know that China’s hit series, Addicted (Heroin), plays a big influence in the market but they need to stop since it wasn’t a good storyline to be used nowadays. Many people seem to love this and that’s okay since people have their subjective perspective on a show.
Wei Zhi Yuan’s roots in romance were understandable since he felt the warmth from being accepted and sheltered in a family. But Wei Qian’s love was silly; he acquired romantic feelings for the man he treated his brother for a lifetime and I felt like it wasn’t authentic. In the same way, San Pang grows an intimate relationship with the MC’s sister, Wei Li Li. It is unnecessary to let everyone end up and be paired together, especially in a small cast of characters. I might be hated on this but I can’t push myself to like the show.
As much as I pity Joe, I can't help but also feel upset to the fact that he put himself in that chaotic situation. He's already an adult to realize his self-worth. The boy is pathetically in love with the wrong person. How I wish that Joe ended up with someone who genuinely loves him. Sol fits this role.
