The romance is there but its kinda subtle. Definitely no kiss scenes . He kinda has a one sided crush on her for half of the show and she realises she likes him around ep 30-35. They do have a super cute wedding at the end tho. All the side couples also have good endings tooo
I am a bit confused. From the comments I read people are upset about the FL and her crush on the ML., but no one…
I think the reason most people are upset is because the show portrays saet byul as being strong and courageous by pursuing her crush but then also paints the CEO and SFl as being wrong and horrible for their lack of loyalty. The two situations arent really handled equally but honestly they cant cus saet byul is the mc so the show doesnt work if shes also shown as a villian/ homewrecker
All the people out here defending Saet Byul being a homewrecker and blatantly disrespecting his relationship BeCaUsE sHe LiKeS hIm So MuCh!! are the same ones who fucking hate and curse the second FL in dramas who try to break up the leads. Honestly can someone explain this mindset to me please?? Is she suddenly right just cus shes the main fl and the show says we should root for her
I don't think it is cultural appropriation. We can't dress after people ? We can't style our hair after someone…
I totally agree with you that its the intentions that matter butttt what do you think the writers intended by making their singular extremely tan character who also has dreads disgusting, dirty and freakishly perverted. Its really clear that his identity is supposed to be a joke for the audience and other characters to laugh and mock because apparently that low level racist comedy is such a hit with the clowns who made this drama
Just because other shows do worse shit doesnt excuse the problematic scenes this show has and it definitely doesnt…
Aww no need to apologise. The problem is that the only tan character in the show is portrayed to be unclean and perverted. It perpetuates the harmful stereotype that tan people/people with dreads are dirty like the scene when flies are stuck in his hair. I hope you can see why people are offended by this backwards portrayal of dreadlocks. Plus his appearance is played as a joke because he's sO dIrTy AnD gRoSs hahaha. Except its not and it just leaves a really bad taste your mouth especially black people who constantly have to deal with those stereotypes
What controversial plot?? i can't understand these rating and all these comments :/ Please elaborate
Are you seriously trying to say that when they made the character very tan(by korean standards) likes reggae and wears rasta colours, they were inspired by Germanic tribes?? His character is a very clear racist stereotype that insinuates that tan people are dirty and disgusting
I personally dont understand why people get so offended over the show when other shows include much worse. This…
Just because other shows do worse shit doesnt excuse the problematic scenes this show has and it definitely doesnt mean we should give the blatant racism a pass.
