Just finished this. I started watching it expecting it to be really bad, but I couldn't be more wrong. I couldn't really go bad with that amazing cast. Too bad there's no news about a season 2. But it got it's ending so I'm pleased.
I haven't liked Oat ever since he made that colorist comment about Pop's skin tone. Unlikeable character to the…
The 'tanning' thing is different tho and that's when the racism happens.
A white person tanned is beautiful in the society eyes, but a natural black person's skin isn't. And that is not only in asia, that's everywhere. Even here in Brazil that society is made of mixed races that's a thing.
I do not demonize these actors for that, Asian society is also a victim of colourism, they teach that for kids in animes which the hero is always white/blonde and beautiful. There are rare cases where you get to see a protagonist in an anime that is of colour.
The first movie was really interesting, this one I took 3 days to finish. It was really slow and I felt like the story was repeating itself so I had to fast foward a few 'stare scenes'. Wish I had enjoyed this one like the first one.
for those confused by the "rape" incidents, here is my best interpretation / explanation for those who are unsure…
This needs to be understood by everyone: "drunk people can't consent to sex". This is really important and people miss this out by a lot. But the show is awesome, what happened to Fuse and Tee happens eveywhere and should not take people's interest from it. Watch it!
Their sex is clumsy but beautiful. Thank you for supporting their love.
I loved this, 10/10 for me. The acting was amazing, the bad thing about it tho is that it's short. But maybe it was as short as it needed to be and that's why it was so good.

Yeah, I just didn't freak out about the colourism because I'm used to it as I already watched many Thai drama. It's not only colourism, tho, they're obsessed with the skinny body too. And that's part of their culture so I'm ok with it. It's sad, but I'm much more pissed at the 'eating dog' couture some part of the asia has. If they had made oat and pop less disgusting I would finish this. Glad we're getting a special about Pree and Rambo.
