honestly im pretty sure this was not meant to be an international drama, china rarely if ever markets anything internationally unless paired with a foreign company. and that example is pretty funny

its because the 40 eps have longer episodes (edited differently after) while 46 shorter eps

maybe try hikaru no go next? also c drama, it also has family dynamics but mostly focuses on one personal journey. Ancient go (like chess but more ancient and beautiful) master helps unruly child turned go prodigy into becoming his own. its a very well loved drama, so incredibly good

it really isnt in this one, i was worried about that too, cause i also just want the 2nd lead and ml to be brothers and they were. the entire time. whenever we started to doubt their relationship we get reminded that they are all really close despite any romantic rivalry. plus you'll be rooting for the 2nd couple so hard
