I just posted my perspective in thread and I’m working to update my review here in review section. I’m sure there will be lots of eh and oh reactions from people n the thread but that’s really fine for me .Just busy these days and out of town so didn’t get back of commenting until now but still managed to finish my “ thread review”. Most of the description I lined up in my thread review will be copy paste in my update review section later . I find underdog dramas captivating when they are reasonable and worthy of defense. The more negativity the drama receive , the more I am drawn to them

SPOILERS AHEAD: If you haven’t watched all 10 episodes, you may want to skip my personal perspective of this drama.
My one last final take for this drama — Although I’m not satisfied with the ending, as I prefer more of definitive ending, I’m glad that nothing bad happened to the main leads as I’m rooting for them to be together. The last scene was a hopeful for both of them as the last scene hinted at it. They should live happily together in the future since there will be no hindrances to their love.

It was a tragic and I didn’t expect YG to be killed in the end, compared to the 3 evil characters MIL, lawyer and son, YG is not that bad. He has a conscience, remorseful & tries to make up for his actions. If there are people needed to be killed , it should be the 3 villains. But I guess , the writer killed YG’s character in the end to have the main leads chance to be together.

Although he only displayed affection to his wife towards the end but his action in Ep. 8 , when he pointed the gun to Do yoon and said “ My wife is only mine“ (something like that ), proved that he would never allow a divorce to his wife.

Remember , he broke up his mistress and gave all his money to his mistress and his son so they will be taken care of , out of guilt but also not to be entangled with them anymore ,even during his heart to heart talk with his son he was honest by stating he would not see or visit them again, this is to have a clean slate for his plan to start fresh with his wife . I believe he will not let his wife go as I believe he really love her especially when finding out that she’s falling in love with her bodyguard.Husband’s character would not let his wife go nor to even give her away to any other man ( that’s what my vibes n his character) , if that were the case, the main leads would never have been able together.

When the male lead resigned as bodyguard and bid farewell to FL and they both acted so formal like they were just boss- bodyguard and no blossoming love relationship , following her husband’s death, I was confused . However , it make really sense. Respectively and morally , given the circumstances, it would be improper to continue their romantic feelings especially freshly after husband’s death, without allowing time to grief and healing. They are likely taking a step back and letting fate guide them toward a future together( at least that’s my perspective). The writer and director skillfully navigates the story , especially in this area which really impressed me! Both the main leads characters , despite falling for each other at the wrong time and under difficult circumstances, and despite sometimes moments of weakness and carried away with their emotions especially when either one of them in danger and afraid to lose the other ( that’s why that sudden passionate kissed happens) as they have deepening connection but they refrained of crossing boundaries and showcasing the importance of morality and self- respect.

The GREED in this drama is overwhelming . Human greed is a dangerous cancer that is hard to resist.
LOVE and BETRAYAL—— you cannot claim to be deeply in love with someone and yet act otherwise , especially when it comes to infidelity, no matter what happens and how many excuses you have in life, you cannot justify your action.

Did I enjoy the drama? Yes, I enjoyed the storytelling process, it was engaging from start to finish. The sexual tension between the main leads adds the spiciness of this action- romance drama . To me , they have the strong and amazing chemistry and I still stand my positive view for both the actors Rain and Kim Ha neul are the best choices to portray as Do yoon and Oh Won Soo, as they portrayed these characters perfectly , just like I always prefer Jung Gyu- Woon as Yoong- guk the husband who remarkably and perfectly delivered his performance in this drama. The chasing and fighting scenes, the emotional moment were captivating , the gigantic mansion , the outfits of FL , even MIL’s , and the sleek suit or outfits of both male leads and the numbers of the bodyguards , the maids , the film locations and not stingy casting and extras , really for a short 10 episodes drama, I would say it’s a well budgeted series . I enjoyed the journey🥰🫢😪❤️!!

Am I satisfied with the ending? Definitely not!
But it didn’t wholly diminished my still positive experience with this show. My overall experience with this show remains positive , because it has all the ingredients of a drama that I wanted. The drama theme explores and with all the outstanding performances of the cast— the ability to convey a realistic portrayal of human greed and its destructive consequences , the love, betrayal and redemption engaging narrative making it a worthwhile watch despite some flaws and narrative shortcomings.

Oh my!! Not my teddy bear!! Kicking to finish my errand so i can binge- watching back to back of my the finale of my fave dramas wednesday's MSM and RS.

This 2 characters never even have interaction or relationship in this show😆 .I appreciate constructive criticism believing it's better to have disliked comments than none but at least with the state reasons why disliking the character instead of giving meaningless reasons due to disliking the actors.

I praised OSW's character because she is not only a strong woman who defies tge evil & greed of typical chaebol family, but I also admire how she fights against them calmly & coldly, building a wall around herself (which by the way perfectly performance delivered by
actress KHN) to protect her true feelings from the pain of her husbands betrayal. Haven't watch the ending yet hopefully it's a good one.

The way he described his girlfriend at the jewelry store is kind a cute🥰
Uhm Tae goo is really killing his character in this drama. His character is just so sweet and so pure!!
Despite his father’s criminal background, he has noble and humble character and his father’s illegal activities are not in line with his values. His father will use the FL to try and bring him back into the fold, uggh, why can’t he leave my teddy bear alone!!!
He is a great hyung to his adopted employees. He is so pure , innocent when it comes to love and his clumsiness just warmed my heart.
Back to back to finale My Sweet Mobster and Red Swan tomorrow. Hoping I got both drama the Happy endings 🤞🤞🙏🙏

I am ready for the finale tomorrow. I hope the writer will give our main leads a happy ending unlike Rain’s previous drama A Love To Kill which had a tragic ending ( I’m crossing my fingers).
To me, Kim Ha neul and Rain did a great job portraying their roles in this drama and they are the best actors for these roles in this drama. The wife character deserves to be happy with someone who truly treasures her and ensures her safety and that is none other than the bodyguard. She has suffered enough in this family , it might not look like it because she looks like she wasn’t affected and unbothered because of the way she expressionless appeared to them but whenever she’s in front of her bodyguard she unmasked her toughness and shows her real self. Do yoon is the perfect guy for her, might not be rich , but a kind of guy that she can depend on both emotionally and physically . The husband’s character (JGY is also doing an excellent job of his character), as much as I have a sympathy for what he have been through from his mother but he needs to break free from his mother’s manipulation and seek professional help. I believe he loves his wife, as he sincerely expressed his true feelings in his confrontation with his mother in ep. 8, however he made a big mistake of cheating, I don’t think wife will stay in that marriage especially now that the will is already out plus knowing he has a mistress and has son with her that needs to father. I don’t care if he ends up with his mistress and starts a new life with her after his divorce. The chairwoman and his lawyer lover should pay of killing those innocent people as I believe that either both of them are mastermind of the murder of the chairman and the death of Do yoon’s best friend.

No, I can’t wait for another 2 weeks, I’m ready for the finale but crossing my finger for the happy ending for the main leads.

MIL probably the mastermind of her husband’s death ,either her or the lawyer lover. The lawyer’s son with the chairwoman is the product of two evil people which also bears an evil seed.

I didn’t skip any episodes of this drama, but how did I miss the part about his son’s death. The chairwoman is a pure evil, like a soulless human being. She orders her people to kill innocent people without any emotional attachment just as if she’s ordering the extermination of a pest. When she tells her son/ 2ml that she’s doing it for his own good, it’s a lie, she’s actually doing it to satisfy her own greed and personal interest. Although I disliked the infidelity that the 2ml/husband committed but I feel sorry and he got my heart and sympathy for the part that he became his mother’s victim, become a pawn of his mother’s game of greed.

He might not be ended getting back his wife at the end of this series but i want no harm to him as I don't want him to harm especially DY ,WS and his son, but then again anything can happen.

It’s insightful to consider his background as it was heartbreaking to watch that scene of him outbursting all the frustrations and the shameful deeds that his mother’s doing through the years that he himself witnessing it since when he was a child and how it shaped him, unfortunately, his infidelity still unacceptable regardless of the reasons behind it. He definitely needs help.

Yes, I agree with you, he might have had a horrible upbringing, but he could make it up by at least being loyal to his wife since he married her for love and not in arranged marriage, also especially the way his mother mistreated his wife ( thank goodness the wife is strong) and he is well aware of his mom’s infidelity. He couldn’t do anything to his wife because he was afraid of his mom, but at least he could show his support being faithful.
I don’t know what happened since it hasn’t been revealed yet about what really happened to their son and how he died, but I’m sure that’s one of the reasons why FL is cold to him. Did he have an affair before or after his son’s death? The flashback of them shows him trying to talk to her to get back together, but I guess FL is done with their marriage. Instead of being humble, he rubbed more salt into his wife’s wounds by saying ,” what’s the big deal , it’s just an affair.” Is he serious?? It’s not just an affair because it resulted in a child. And they are still continuing to do it.
And yes I’m a 100% with you it’s not the child’s fault. But one thing I noticed , that FL is more of very considerate to child’s feelings than the mother. She doesn’t want the child to hear any topic about their issues or any adult matters and she always request her whenever they talk to put the child in another room. But the mistress/ mother and the boys grandmother they don’t really care if the boy is there listening about the sensitive topic that the boy doesn’t deserve to hear it as he was just a kid and innocent of what’s going on in his surroundings. I don’t have sympathy for the mistress. The way she jumped n her husband’s friend during the gala and them making out right there in that venue place is really unforgivable!!! It makes my blood boil watching those scene. I have a sympathy for what the husband been through from his mother but I despised of what he did to his wife. FL/ wife deserves to be happy and to be with someone who treasures her and that someone better be .
And I’m with you , cheating to me is unforgivable. Once trust is lost it can never be built. Those people say time heals all wounds—- wrong! The wound of infidelity cannot be healed!

This drama is addictive and I can’t believe it will end next week.I apologize in advance if I use a big space here once again to lay out what I liked and highlighting the remarkable scenes from the last 2 episodes, as I just can’t help, sorry. As a big fan of Action- Romance drama, I have to say this series are balanced perfectly. First, I must admit, I was deeply moved by the exceptional acting skills and the character of Jung Gyo Woon ( husband) in ep 8. As his character evolves from a mostly quiet but prideful and arrogant cheater husband to a vulnerable & emotional genuine sincere person , the husband’s long suppressed emotions and the revelation of his true feelings to his mother and for his wife and how he defended her ,ignoring the rumors picture of his wife with the bodyguard , really touched and captivated me. The emotional outburst he displays in this episode showcase and humanized him . Boy! He does really shines in this episode🥰! His character’s biggest mistake is having an affair and even have a child with his mistress. What I don’t like was his word or dialogue in a flashback of him and his wife when his wife learned from his affair , him asking to start all over again but also reasoned out “ what’s the big deal , it’s just an affair”, so I can understand now that even it is painful for him to see his wife falling in love with his bodyguard , that no matter opposition he’s going to do , he can’t just do anything at all, especially now that his wife boldly defending Do yoon in front of him that she will even trade her life for him , it’s an evident that she is in love with him so deeply. Now, he got a taste of the “cycle of
karma”.😥But knowing his character’s full backstory, my sympathy split between him and his wife ( FL) , since both of them really are a victim in this story.

The portrayal of the main leads KHN and Rain in this drama , now that we are heading to finale—— it’s an evident and I strongly believe that they are the best actors to portray Wansoo and Do yoon. Their chemistry as a bodyguard and boss who fall in love in a complex situation but in a perfect circumstances is very credible and reasonable ( in my view) . In episode 7 ,where DY quickly catches Woon- soo’s scarf and makes her laugh without any withholding or hesitation , for the first time throughout the series , that she really genuinely laugh is truly heartwarming. She have been through a lot in life since she was a child , and even she live in a mansion and luxury life now but it is far from happiness . It is evident that when she’s with Do Yoon ,she gradually shows her human side. While I wasn’t expecting it , I was content with the tender hugs and romantic touching between the leads in this series and knowing how South Korean actors are conservative especially married Korean actors and if it is in k-drama, however, I was surprised and impressed that the actors, who are both respectively married in real life, had a real kissing scene and not just a damp kiss like other typical k- drama romance , but a real passionate deep mouth to mouth, lips to lips kissing scene I’m sorry ,I know they’re both each married in real life but they are so amazingly , in fire 🔥 good together , Rain kissing very passionately and Kim ha neul is a good receiver too in this kissing scene omg❤️👏👏👏 It was a short but sweet moment🥰🥰🥰( I giggled and can’t stop smiling 🥰.That really added a spicy touch to the story. Kudos to the writer, director and actors for their professionalism and dedication to their craft. I admired married Korean actors to play and accept this scene in a story when it is really needed.

The portrayal of the chairwoman and her lawyer lover as the most immoral and corrupt characters in this drama as much as I disliked their characters so much but I have to admit also that is very convincingly delivered by these actors. Their acting skills very effectively convey , making them the most detestable characters in the drama.
I also loved Rain in action scenes. Rain is really good ( reminded me of his hollywood action film) ,the fighting scenes in ep 7 , to me are expertly choreographed and Rain and the traitor bodyguard is doing a great job in showcasing fighting skills.

RED SWAN gives me satisfaction that some of the things that i want from K- 2 and Bloodfree that i didn't and lacking . Those 2 are good dramas and full of suspensed but there's no romance which I totally got those 2 combination i liked here in RED SWAN. The way this drama series has been presented by the director, script writer ( I have to google who wrote this one , I like his/her writing style) has been exceptional to me. The cast, storyline and narrative flow , I have no complaints at all, I think they all delivered outstanding performance particularly main leads and supporting actors. 10/10 for me.
I look forward for the final episode and eager to see how the drama conclude.

Same . I watched WW bcoz of KNJ but also Im a fan of Kim Kang Woo too bad he is a cheater in this WW drama. But i first saw him in A Man's Story 2009, tgen followed by Golden Cross. To me ,Kim Kang Woo is one of a versatile good actors in SK and for some reason i found him sexy & attractive . He is hot in Golden Cross lol although i was disappointed with the ending and also has a great portrayal in A Man's Story 2009, his character is addicting to watch, he is very good !
Another reason, i like WW is I also like Cha Eun Woo, I like him in True Beauty and I was curioused if he can pull off a serious and not a boyish character in WW which he proved that he can be a versatile.
