This series really is a pointless circle of parting and reunion. I'd give it a 5/10 at best due to its other entertaining aspects. I havent encountered a series as frustrating as this since Chuno. Its vast potential was completely ruined by the "part and unite" circle and the dragging out of plot twists that shouldve been resolved much sooner.
Watched this because I became a fan of Kim Nam Gil after Bad Guy. Drama was close to perfect till the final episodes which were quite depressing. I figure they were that way in order to be as historically accurate as possible but their interpretation and execution of the historical events just came off as stupid to me. Its almost as if the drama should've ended with the 2nd to the last coup.
This drama is anywhere from a 7.5 to 8/10. I think it gets a bit overrated because its one of the best Korean dramas that has been out this year. Still worth a watch I guess.

Thought this would be good but quite the opposite. The directing wasn't too good which took a big chunk of what I could have found enjoyable. The script for important characters were poorly written, the movie tried hard to make jokes that werent funny, and don't even get me started on the poor choreography in the cheezy battles & gun fights smh. Classic example of what is in my opinion, a wasted budget.

Probably because its overrated?? I was unable to suspend disbelief most of the time which is a major point for me to enjoy a drama. They have to bring it closer to reality and this drama didnt do that for me. Only thing I enjoyed about this drama was the crazy bad guy Kim Bong Goo. Loved his character. Though I wouldnt say it was 10/10 for his character, I'd give him a 9/10 and I hope he gets an award. He'll probably get nominated for one at the very least.
Highly overrated drama IMO -_-" Sis ranted to me how great it was and blah blah blah but I basically forced myself to finish it. Even dropped it once around episode 4 I think. If you watched up to episode 4 and didnt like it you better drop it because it means you wount like the rest of it either.
