In fact as per the novel, Fu Mingyu assumed that that night Ruan Sixian had waited for him in his room and ofcourse since he didn't return she felt rejected and humiliated and abruptly resigned. So that’s his last impression of her.

Why should he recruit a rookie pilot?

In the novel it is shown that the cream of pilots who could fly the new domestic model were already taken. Hence he was desperate to find an alternative and the only option he had was Ruan Sixian as she was trained to fly that model. It was pure business!! He had the two captains and one first officer. He needed an add. He was also under extreme pressure from the executive board to launch this new model in the market asap as he had gone against them and scrapped the 'soaring plan'. His conversation with his dad and the board meeting where he explained all this was filmed. The board meeting room was rather luxurious looking like a mini version of UN state assembly 😂


Again I was hoping to see Fu Mingyu hanging out with his friends Zhu Dong, his gf, Yan An, their childhood friend Zheng, and few others. Just like Ruan Sixian hanging out with her besties having a life outside work. Unfortunately they haven't shown these get togethers. Or they are probably going to show it in future eps

They haven't shown much of their family either. There is Ruan Sixian's mom who is a well known painter, also biological mum of Zheng You An. Ruan Sixian and her relationship dynamic with her mom. Parents get divorced when she is 12. Father passes away fee years after.
Fu family- parents and brother. And a dog! Brother has a small role in the novel. There is a backstory to his bro - this bro who is also one of the CEOs managing their overseas department actually falls in love with a flight attendant during one of his travels (can't remember if it was a coffee spill incident or something else). However their relationship doesn't work and they break-up.

Second couple- you guessed it right- You An and Zheng

Captain Yue and Jiang relationship didn’t have much role at all in the novel.

I am watching on Mangoapp and subtitles are decent. After watching 7 episodes I'm getting the vibes and really liking it and believe it will get better and better.

Interesting! Chen Lijun is an opera actress debuting in her first TV series and she plays a woman in the disguise of a man to become an official. Definitely interesting theme. Tempted to think Miles's role is less substantial. And if the novel has that many chapters then it would make sense to do two seasons. Meaning double the time for completion. I'm thinking about the number of months Miles has to commit to this project for a role that may not be substantial which means he may lose some better opportunities for a lead project. Fingers crossed 🤞

This is probably quite normal (though inconvenient) for popular actors.
