hmm well a lot of his work has more of an indie-film festival type of feel to it...My Way & The Warrior and the Wolf
(tho I heard bad reviews on this) probably being the most "viewer friendly"? haha idk how to put it.
Any of his award nominated/winning projects are great~ I personally liked Bright Future, Sway, Blood and Bones, and Hazard (he speaks English in this one)

How's the acting of the cast tho? I'm only familiar with Jiro from there...
Aside from a small handful that I've watched alrdy, I have such difficulty finding TW dramas that I'll fully enjoy >_< I get turned off with exaggerated acting or jokes thrown in the plot. I'm pretty picky lol

As of now Shark is really up my alley with what I usually tend to like in dramas...good acting too so no complaints there.
& Itazura na Kiss- Love in Tokyo has been a good show to watch to kind of get a break from the "really serious vibe" kinda thing since that one is more light and cute.

How's Fabulous Boys so far? I've been wanting to start a TW or Chinese drama soon and have been thinking of going with that one~

Underrated film imo.

The movie may be somewhat hard to follow as your introduced to nine individuals--each with their own backstory, but director Toshiaki Toyoda does a fine job in linking everyone as their bond with one another peek though during their "road trip".
Good blend of genres from serious drama to some comedic relief thrown here and there, accompanied by a cast that acts their part well.
