First it’s an interesting pairing that had so much chemistry during the filming. Cheng lei got famous after my journey to you and this was his 1st lead role in a non short drama so high anticipation plus Zhou Ye is a fast rising actress with popular dramas and movies under her belt. The drama is an adaptation from a famous writer and the double being so famous made the anticipation for this one even higher . Then the glory was also a hit and the anticipation is even bigger now.
Plus i think the biggest selling factor is that the FL unlike all the others is a strong one not a damsel in distress which these days it’s rare. It’s mostly the ML being strong and saving the FL and the FL being amazingly smart while here she is not just smart but strong and can protect herself.

I don’t know if I want him to pick this one, doesn’t sound outstanding and its again a FL drama. He needs to pick a very good follow up project after lgief popularity. It would be cool if he picks a ML centric drama .

What do you want her next role to be? Personally i really hope she gets to act in a thriller suspense criminal detective drama. And some mainstream drama roles even if she is not the main lead, this way she can act with many veteran actors and she can improve even more , get taken as a serious actress and even get nominated for important awards.
I am scared if she picks up an idol drama as a main lead she will get lots of backlash. Still i hope when she picks a main female lead role se picks a strong character like psj instead of a damsel in distress.
