I haven’t watched the others or read them but I’ve read various summaries so I know a good about them

I understand the outward and vane reasons she might like him

It’s just hard for me to have any understanding considering his actions, nature etc.

He was a jerk on their first meeting, held them captive, caused the death of his father and her adoptive father. He lied to her almost nonstop and did suspicious things over and over. In the end she just continued to believe in him and keep falling for it over and love him until the end

I just seem super stupid to me unless they just want her to be that much of a naive or disinteresting character. She starts of the show as a seemingly promising martial artist and then spend the majority of the show getting kidnapped or doing zero fighting

I understand the reasoning and what a foil character is, I also think it could just be better done overall. Their combined annoying traits and lack of sense just gets to be so much to put up with for a show of this many episodes

The second FL falling in love with him still baffles me and just seems so incomprehensible when you look at the actual scenario involved

There are so few characters I adore as much as the 5th prince

I originally thought I wouldn’t like him, but he is just the most wholesome and decent guy. It’s so rare to find a side character as like-able as him

I honestly don’t know how I even forced myself to go through this entire show

They could have at least not had a terrible ending to try and make up for it

The second MLs as a couple and just overall are terrible so far and I am over 30 episodes in

Their combined stupidity and frustrating actions and reasoning makes me want to skip every second they have screen time

I gotta say the show was good but it really teetered off at the end

The unnecessary conflict and separation and the ending we don’t even get anymore actual romance between the leads. Honestly, it could’ve fooled me that the sister and Xiong Fei were the lead couple because they were the only ones with a satisfying and romance that had a conclusion

They didn’t even bother to let the leads have marriage scene since the conflict was more important

It just feels like it suffers from being the standard 40 episodes, need to have unnecessary conflict as a gap filler to reach the finish line

While I have always enjoyed his acting, every time I see a show he leads tagged romance I basically instant skip

Most of the time the best you’ll get is some gazing and a hug. It’s bizarre to me that someone who doesn’t want to actively do romantic roles always does so

It was so obvious they were saving the reveal to be an end conflict and to me it’s kind of stupid.

I find the writing for both of them lackluster, he has a right to be angry but it doesn’t suit his character to act like he did and take it out on her

Her actions were equally as stupid

It just seems like a really poorly written and generic conflict for the sake of conflict to end the story

I love this show so much

But my god is the nurse one of the most infuriating characters I have seen, her entire existence and reason for doing what she does is so stupid and aggravating

I have never enjoyed hearing a word repeated so many times as “Okay”

I enjoyed Jin Yong Tae so much every time it was said lmao

This is a rare show that I loved from start to finish and never got tired of, it didn’t drag and the characters and relationships developed very well

Also happy to see a season 2 is going to come?! Or supposed to but never know

It really wasn’t that bad at all, it hasn’t ruined anything and it’s hardly even been a part of the show. It added another cool character to the show and they needed a reason for her to stay, she has no reason to otherwise

Yes she absolutely does, she becomes essential to them tackling most cases and is an enjoyable character to have around

It in no way is turning into a romance drama at the point you are at, I am in the 20s and it’s still not romance. At the most it has a subtle romance that is hardly shown and not the focus. The female character actively helps a lot in cases

This show has been a pleasant surprise for me

The fact that it goes from case to case with no dragging and the characters are all really enjoyable to me

They certainly nailed the queen casting

I can always tell when it’s done right when I loathe a character so much, every single time she smirked or laughed I got so irritated lol

I will tell you what, I am 16 episodes in and Mi Gu is in the running for one of the stupidest characters I’ve seen in a drama

So far her character exists to be a simp and frustrate the viewer

Edit: Finished and liked it overall at least the Main Couple was good. My point about Mi Gu stands, what a waste of a character, not sure why she is considered a “main” character at all

Just watch it and decide for yourself? It’s not going to be the same for everyone, I think it’s really good coming from my experience with a friend on the Autism spectrum
