it's always so fascinating to read the history of other countries.. being a king was such a sad dark thing.. they'd be too greedy and suspicious that they end up killing everyone, or everyone planned a coup on them...

aha, so it's following real history, that makes it more interesting~ in our time I'd find any of the killings weird, but for those times it's totally believable.. it's evil of me but I want them to keep it "real" and not lighthearted ;)

usually there are 2 types of second leads for me, the one that makes me sad because he's only a second lead, or the one that gets on my nerves and makes me wish the writer didn't waste our time on.

but Cha Yool Mu is such a great fresh outlook. when they said he was not in the webtoon I thought, ah, another useless 2nd lead for the sake of a triangle.. but they are actually giving him a story and that makes me so happy with the writers❤

I love seeing different sides of haru❤ clueless puppy haru, bromance with baekkyung haru, slightly arrogant playboy haru, and the latest! reliable and calm haru saving the day! ooh, also, historical haru~~

I'm so glad they talked about the thing I was concerned about with baekkyung, though now things are moving again! that ending was so beautiful, it's my new screensaver ;)

what about before he was "self aware" which is a spoiler btw :)

and while he was getting there they'd throw those remarks at him and make him so confused. then after realizing the truth he didn't have the D4 (danoh, haru, dohwa and squid fairy) to guide him.. he's still figuring out how the love danoh had for him was fake, and since in his stage he was denying his feelings, now in the shadows he still doesn't know his feelings are not his true feelings.. you know?

I am all for danoh and haru ending up together and all, but like, let baekkyung join the D4 :) I don't want him to be the enemy :(

he didn't "choose" to be this way, so of course I feel bad for him...

danoh is being too mean to baekkyungie... as the person who fights against the writer's forced characteristics, she should realize how hurt baekkyungie is..
atleast her back story had loving family and friends, but baekkyungie's been fighting against his family's evilness while also living in fear of getting abandoned..
and that brings me to my other point, if danoh's been reading the webtoon, how can she not have seen baekkyungie's inner turmoil, true feelings and the fights with his father?

it's like, they feel bad for Do Hwa, the webtoon's 2nd lead, but they are completely ignoring the fact that baekkyungie is a sad 2nd lead too ;(

now I love them all, but poor misunderstood 2nd leads are my weakness, for once I wish they'd give them the happiness they deserve...

I have seen so many 2nd leads, even main leads suffer through the abusive parent that it made me so happy to see baekkyung fighting against it! his usual rebelling used to stop after his dad hit him, but for him to say "my character took your beatings just because he doesn't want to be abandoned" while he stopped the dad from hitting him again was awesome..

baekkyung is messing with my feelings... but the end result is always the same ;(

when she said "Nokdu" I just lost it... 1- she finally knows his name. and 2- it's the highest level of love, calling his name with her "last" breath TT_TT

then when he showed up!!!!! super cliche but so touching! I don't enjoy the "female lead needs male lead's help for blah blah reasons", but here she really needed him! and he literally ran over to save her!!!!!!!!!! TT_TT


I do enjoy crazy Cha Yool Mu, but I'm low key expecting him to have an evil twin or something... dude literally unleashed those murderers on the poor widowers, and he's running around looking desperate trying to save Dong Joo? let me just say this, he's one of those rare 2nd leads I'll thoroughly enjoy seeing him die! though in the "reveal" they said he will become a king?
also is he Nokdu cousin? or are they unrelated. like Cha Yool Mu is the former king's son, and new king killed him?

that ending was next level cliche angst, but I can't stop crying! xD


also, "that person" has a serious personality disorder.. he's nice one second then a crazy tyrant the next...

I'm really confused... but can you believe it's only the 6th ep and so many things are already happening?! wow...

as I said with my 2nd point, the writers shouldn't force a random "triangle" where it doesn't exists, like seriously non of it is even love yet.... two are "mutually" interested in each other -though Hee Jae only started looking at Seo Hwi because of her gratitude towards his father- and the other guy is completely delusional, like there's zero interest, and that just pisses me off, like boy stop being desperate... and stop trying to force her to like you, then go nuts when she doesn't.. you know? it's the writers fault..

it's that thing she said in ep6, like she's hurting Sun Ho's feelings not with the fact that she likes Seo Hwi and not him, but she's saying it like she's the only one who ever cared for Seo Hwi?
my point is their romance is moving way too fast, and without much solidarity? it's just following the "pattern". boys meet girl, girl likes 1 boy, other boy still likes girl, and everything is a mess..

the same for my 3rd point, I don't mind "comic relief" but it's the flow of it, it just suddenly happened, it's not connected to anything. like everything else is moving so well, and then things stop and "romance" happens...

they seriously need to cut all romances here...
1- they are mistaking Han Hee Jae's gratitude for "love"... like they could still keep what they're doing with her story, but don't make it in the name of love...
2- don't hurt my Nam Sun Ho like that! how dare a new 3rd wheel try to ruin their bromance. and like, dude you deserve better than her... (in no way num1 and 2 about the actress as a person, or even a character, more like the way she's being used?)
3- Park Moon Bok and Hwa Wol(?) that was just a time filler ;/
beside that I'm enjoying everything else.

I honestly enjoyed this, and I loved both leads and their sismance, I wish there was a kdrama like this ;)

I feel like the crimes could've been better, more dynamic and suspenseful? but I'd totally watch the 2nd season if it ever happened..

can we flip the page to next Wen please ;(

ooooooooooooohhhhh, THAT ENDING! this is really the highlight of my week :)
you know, this drama could totally adapt a seasonal theme and break EVERY cliche story out there! a crime drama where the villain is actually a nice guy and he tries to break away, a law drama where the main lead hates law, I don't know the possibilities are endless!
I'm kinda scared to read any spoilers since they might be about the webtoon, or read theories because sometimes it makes me look forward to something different xD

totally same, I saw a comment like this "it takes a real man to act as a woman" or something and this just proves it xD
