So true. I'm LGBTQ+, this means so much to me and I can totally relate :) I love it when Japan decides to serve us geikomi instead of yaoi for a change :) Sometimes it's good to have a change :) It's fun to switch it up now and then :) I absolutely loved this and Kinou Nani Tabeta xD
Sorry not familiar with that series but this show has the vibe of.... IDK Its like I am watching a cross between…
Thank you so much for the lengthy super detailed explanation. It helps a bit :) I can kinda see where you're coming from :) You're right though, there seems to be some ambiguity between BL/yaoi and gay themes/geikomi and I guess that's what makes it confusing sometimes haha
It can also sometimes be confusing for me as I got into BL during the time when it was gaining more attention from LGBTQ+ audience and more and more male BL producers were coming forward compared to the original producers and target audience of straight women. To make life even more complicated, I was never a straight fujo/fudan xP So I can't appreciate yaoi/BL the way straight fujo's/fudan's do. But I think it's wonderful all you straight y fans can have a love for yaoi xD I have some straight friends who just can't understand or appreciate BL. Sucks to be them I guess. But then again I understand where they're coming from because when I used to be straight I actually tried to get in to BL and GL but for the life of me I just couldn't appreciate it as a straight person. I tried again when I came out as LGBTQ+ and I absolutely loved it and have been loving it ever since :) So I understand the struggle of the straights who aren't into BL & GL :) Then there are also some of my LGBTQ+ friends who say BL & GL is "too weak/too soft/not hardcore enough" for them. I'm still trying to convert them xP I'm somewhere in between the spectrum I guess. I'm different :)
It's kinda similar to GL I guess. There can sometimes be some confusion sometimes for GL as well. At first, I thought yuri/GL was the female counterpart of yaoi/BL. Yaoi was originally made by straight women for straight female audience. As we know, this has changed and yaoi is now being made and consumed by all kinds of people :) Somehow I thought yuri was originally made by straight men for straight male audience. If it was the female equivalent of yaoi then that would make sense right? However, yuri is actually more like the lesbian equivalent of geikomi. Yes, yuri was originally made by lesbians and women who like women for lesbians and women who like women :) Geikomi was made by gay men and men who like men for gay men and men who like men :) Makes sense right? :) Geikomi is also called men's love/ML. So I always wondered why yuri wasn't called women's love/WL. Somehow it ended up being called girls love/GL. But again, times have changed and yuri/GL is now made by and for lesbians, women who like women, straight women, straight men, gay men, men who like men and everyone under the sun :) Geikomi is also now produced and consumed by everyone under the sun :) And BL is now produced, consumed and loved by everyone under the sun xD Complicated but that's life xDD It's a rainbow coloured world xDDD
But yes I see what you mean. BL became big in Philippines this year 2020 (thanks to Thailand's help from the success of 2gether xD), I agree with you on that :) Maybe "Hanging Out" and "Ur_Tadhana" could be categorised/classified more as geikomi or BL aimed at gay audience. And yes they are good, I recommend to check them out if you like :) One thing's for sure though, after consuming gay/BL/GL/ML/LGBTQ+ content for several years now I'm super picky with straight content rofl
Really? I'm enjoying the multiple partner concept that they've implemented into some of their more recent Club Friday works. But each to their own :) Hope they make more GL stories for us in future. CF8 Ruk Tae Rue Kae Kwam Wang, CF11 Ruk Lam Sen and CF12 Ruk Tee Mai Mee Krai Roo were great xD
Tags says LGBTQ+. The main protagonist is a man and according to the trailer he has 2 boyfriends and 1 girlfriend. Whether you think that's BL or not I'll leave you to decide :)
Wednesgay... HAHAHAHA I love it! For a while, all I had was Frigay and Saturgay! But I’ll take them all ;)
I thought YYY season 1 was on Tuesgay? But I won't complain if season 2 is on Mongay xD
LBC2 (Thailand) starts next Wed 2 Sept!! Wednesgay still going strong xD LBC2 will be available on WeTV platform but I'm hoping some kind soul BL angel will upload it on YouTube for inter fans S2 Tencent Video the same network that aired My Engineer (Thailand) will also be airing LBC2 xD
Actually Kumusta Bro (Philippines) airs on Mongay on Kumu app. But no eng sub for inter fans xP
I'm referring to Perth Tanapon who acts as Ae in LBC2. Yes apparently Perth Tanapon is leaving BL. After Chance To Love/LBC2, he won't be doing BL anymore. Mean Phiravich is also leaving BL after LBC2. LBC2 will be their last BL roles for Perth and Mean. I don't have any links, sorry. But I saw stuff on YouTube and it seems legit :(
Wasn't that... wasn't that rape?EDIT: The thing is... I just feel like its unnecessary whenever a scene that hints…
I don't like it when rape is romanticised either like Kengkla and Techno in LBC. I guess like when the sober person takes advantage of the drunk person and the drunk person reciprocates/doesn't resist or struggle to me it sorta blurs the lines between rape and drunk sex. However if the drunk person comes on to the sober/less drunk person then I just find it hard to see that as rape. Unless I try to think of it as the more drunk raping the less drunk but then again if the less drunk reciprocates the more drunk's advances then how is that rape? Also if both parties are equally drunk then how is that considered rape at all? That's when it starts to get really confusing. Anyway just my opinion. Again, no hate please :)
PS: It was traumatic but it was real life stuff when rape was portrayed on The Effect. And even though it hurt to watch, I much preferred it that way :') #keepingitreal
But yeah guess we'll have to keep watching to see what happens next week for James and Sky xD

Ok. Just want to gently point out there is a difference between rape and drunk sex. As we saw, James actually tried not to give in to temptation to have sex with Sky. And he almost succeeded but then Sky in his drunken state grabbed James and well the rest is history xD That didn't look or feel like rape to me imho :) Kind of like VeeMark drunk sex in Love Mechanics. Mark in his drunkenness wanted Vee. Sky when he grabbed James in his drunkenness seemed like he wanted James too. Just my thoughts, please no hate S2
Actually this question has me confused as I thought BL actors usually have to be straight as per directors requirements but perhaps over the years that has changed.
When it comes to actors, we can never really tell unless they say so themselves :) They make what we see on cam and off cam seem like reality. That's their job :) What goes on behind closed doors is none of our business :)
For all we know, he could very well be bi as he's also done straight roles and acts with women too. Can't wait for The Gifted Graduation! Wonder if he'll return with Jane as their duo from the prequel? xD
Nope I recently found out Off is dating another actress called Mook
What you said is so true. For TayNew even though they never confirmed they were more than friends there was already so much pressure from delulu fans and unfortunately that put a strain on their existing friendship and it changed and was never the same again :( But I'm glad they have recovered their friendship and managed to salvage what was left of their bromance so that at least now they can work together comfortably again :) They may never act as a couple or a pair of best mates again but at least they can be together as bros with their other GMM bros. Can't wait for 'I'm Tee, Mee Too' next month! xD
did't Gun and Off Confirmed that they are dating ?
Hmm... There seems to be some confusion here so let me try to help :) Off was dating Mook from Kiss and Kiss Me Again long time ago. They starred as a couple in U-Prince The Ambitious Boss. The actress from Secret Seven who co-starred with Gun is not called Mook, her name is Ampere. Off and Mook broke up and Mook is now together with Toy another GMM star. ToyMook starred together in Girl Next Room Motorbike Baby, their first work together as an on screen couple as a real couple xD We will never know for sure if OffGun are a real couple, what goes on behind closed doors is their business :) But GMM seems like they wanted us to believe they were dating for real, always teasing them and calling them "the GMM star husband and wife" xD But now looks like all the rumours might be dispelled with OffGun doing bromance next month instead of BL with KristSingto and TayNew as well. I wonder if it might be the end of BL for all of them? With the exception of Singto doing Friend Zone 2 with Nat of course. Well honestly, I don't mind as long as the bromance remains strong between all of them xD
