I find the action scenes in this drama *riveting* and I don't usually pay attention to such things at all! I've…
The villain character reminded me of the 2nd Prince in Joy of Life, someone totally out of place yet doesn't seem to care about what others think of him.
It's only a drama. Don't get too personally invested in it.
This drama is probably more suitable for mature audience. It's unlike Idol drama which caters more towards audience/fans preferences. I find the drama quite reflect real life. Reminiscence of the HK police drama.
Same thought about SML, he’s selfish and has no respect to FL. Even quite rude to others as well, maybe he’s…
It shows that he acted very well. I like his previous works in Heroes and Side Story of Fox Volant. In this role, he reminded me of HK actor Alex Man in his younger HK police/ mafia dramas.
Wow! The car chase on ep 22 was truly awesome! This is such a marvelous drama about PTSD, undercover police works and consequences, relationships (trust). All the actors are very good in portraying each of the broken characters. I love each of the mentors who not only mentoring the ML & FL in their respective field, but also become their relationship advisors. The villain character was also very well acted.
I believe anyone who grew up in the 80s and 90s should watch "Dream Of Golden Years"! I watched that fight…
There seems to be an effort to bring back the HK drama vibes. There was a police drama which also has similar vibes. After watching Love Story in the 1970s, watching this drama is like a quick transition from one era to another.
This is such a lovely drama, a gem. For some of us who grow up in the 80s- 90s, it brought us back to the height of Hongkong TV drama, the songs, fashion, hairdo, make-up, etc. Bai Zhenzu & Pan San duo fighting with the gangster was epic! Lawrence Wong's portrayal of Du Zhao Hui is so funny, typical HK playboy. All the characters are very well portrayed.
The drama had no fault for 70%, but alas they screwed the ending, too much exposition, scenes just jumped from…
I read somewhere that they originally meant to cut the story into 2 parts, similar to LLTG, but then there is a change of rule, they have to make it into a single 40 episode series. That may explain the botched editing.
I am super late in asking this, but can someone explain the difference between a Marquis and a General? I am doing…
Marquess from the Old French marchis ("ruler of a border area") In ancient China, 侯 (hóu) a noble rank created by King Wu of Zhou for rulers of newly conquered regions, and is generally translated as marquess or marquis. In imperial China, 侯 (hóu) is generally, but not always, a middle-to-high ranking hereditary nobility title. Its exact rank varies greatly from dynasty to dynasty, and even within a dynasty. He Chang Xi's face was AI-swapped for Zhu Zan Jin due to him starring in a BL drama Sammy's Children's Day.

Either because of censorships, or the production team afraid of negative impact. That's why this drama was delayed in airing.
