i don't think things got switched, i suppose that DGZ is the one who get the girl maybe, but the other is ML because of the story and how his character is

The last episode was good, yes, it's rushed hapy ending , no much romance here

but I liked the dialogue between FL and SML, it was really intense, we really needed to see that, SML is not crazy but he has other priorities, he is ready to do anything for glory but he is still also loves her only he prefers glory, even if she was not in love with him, she was in pain because of him but especially because of the harm she had caused to the ML

the only thing I would have liked to see in the drama would be a dynamic between SML and the son of FL because in the novel I liked how close they were
