TOTALLY agree. Like ALLEN REN . But since the Chinese make a lot of romances, I think that for money reasons they will not refuse every role and wait for thrillers... :(

« this i just don't understand...I keep seeing it brought up as excuses for different actors / actresses , but my opinion is people that don't feel comfortable kissing shouldn't do rom coms. It's frustrating and makes the interactions weird (the Flinch or the Still Freeze / Dead Fish). I don't expect a lot of kissing in historical or xianxia or action thrillers, but modern adult romances, where the characters are in their twenties...and the co star is eye candy super hunk...«
A clarification is necessary. There are people in comment who forget the basics of rom com and especially with the settings of MY BOSS to understand.
1) romance arrives late!
YES. Indeed but believe me given the Behind the Scenes, it's worth it!
2) chemistry is not there!
If the chemistry is there. To know the actors very well I can tell you that Ruo Nan that I have been since her beginnings is a great shy who refuses even to kiss, but in MY BOSS, she pushes her limits (you will see it episode 28-38) and I find that she has a sparkling look when she watches CXX.
3) don't forget that it's a law drama, so necessarily this one is very present!
4) when a drama makes 38 episodes, if a couple forms episode 15-20 it is necessarily that they will break episode 30! Tell yourself better a couple late but certain than too early, not credible and who risks living 100 dramas together that will be boring.
Finally, I would say that MY BOSS works very well. The drama is popular and deserves to be watched so learn to appreciate it.
People who would try to contradict me, I can listen to you, but it's not sure that I accept your answers simply because I've been watching cdramas since the 2000s so tell yourself that I've had time to analyze a lot of things and that I haven't started in C-dramas since 2020! <3 LOVE
