"Japanese content" Okay like why are you generalizing everything on your hateful poor take on anime and japanese content as a whole. If you're only takeaway of anime is pedophilia, than you need to educate yourself more on popular anime you should be generalizing, like Vinland saga, AOT, Monster, and Frieren. Also why does it matter if its animated or if its with real people on this topic? Regardless of the medium.

Because all his life he had been pretending to be someone he's not (acting as Baek Saeon). He liked many things that got taken away throughout his life. He acts cold to her because she's the one person, he doesn't want taken away from him because that's his weakness. With his political status, people can use that against him. And also this wasn't the marriage Heejoo wanted anyway. This is was for her protection in the beginning. There's obviously still more to Baek Saeon and who he really is and his "Plans" so I won't spoil more but that's basically the reasoning.

I will say this though without any spoilers from the webtoon/novel and what we know so far in the drama. He was never possessive and controlling lmao. You gotta understand his character though. He’s a known political figure and any vulnerable side shown to anyone can be a big liability because of his status. He acts cold to her because he thinks the wedding is a burden to her and doesn't want to be apart in all this and also the mom's/family influence in all this (wont go into detail on his past due to spoilers). Also not justifying his actions as an ideal husband to his wife and how he should treat her. Just shedding light on his flawed character a bit because of their unfortunate situation and marriage because his has reasons. He does all this to protect her. Sure he is cold to her when communicating. But his actions behind the scenes shows a lot of affection like how he was relieve when he checked she got home safely even after he got hit with the explosion in the office and didn't care for his injuries. How he notices her being nervous, her foot hurts and him making her Breakfast are his subtle weaknesses. Also you have to remember that Heejoo was going to be married off to someone far more toxic so he chose her to marry for protection.

I would say I was pleasantly surprised how good the first ep 2 were just because I heard a lot of people were hyping this show up so I had some expectations going into this. The show does a refreshing take on a thriller/mystery romance and actually keeps us engaged with the story/characters especially the chemistry between the leads is very wattpad ish vibes (lowkey something I've been waiting for). And you can obviously tell this drama is based on a webtoon/novel just because of the story and how its structured. Yeah I would say the hype is definitely deserved IMO and worth watching.

true any death by flre is brutal! but having something pierce through into your lungs every 5 min? just a thought of that is horrific mentally and painfully as well.

ever considered that NDS was being considerate of grandma at that moment and didn't want to tell the truth yet? looks like to me he wanted to but didn't expect the Grandma he saw at the hospital to be SDM Grandma. So obviously he would feel bad and shocked and knowing these types of dramas.. led him to not tell truth yet to prolong the lie and also looks like to me next episode preview he might reveal the truth to SDM anyway.

the zombie kid story + that whole last scene in general punched me right in the heart... did not expect myself to tear up a bit ;~;

I enjoyed the romance imo.. just because I enjoyed Kim Dami's acting and her unique character in the drama. Opinions are subjective ofc... the romance isn't really the main focus, its more of a character driven story but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd say give it a shot if the summary peaks your interest^^

The fact that Jong Woo brutally kills everyone in the end.. puts a smile on my face^^

The show doesn't rely much on jump scares I can reassure you on that, but it still has that creepy and eerie atmosphere to the show which they did a really good job on. I'd say 5-6 on the horror factor imo. You should definitely check it out though^^ the story is too good to pass up :D

each episode is 30 min which is equivalent to a normal 16 episode series

I haven't cried this much in a kdrama in a long time.. this is by far the best episode I've seen in this drama T~T ...can't hide these manly tears....

the mother and son moments in episode 9 makes my manly heart melt *^*
hoping the sister will get a chance to meet the mom as well^^

episode 5

after episode 4 onward the drama took a complete 180 for me! and now its gotten a lot better.. soo highly recommend to keep watching... it gets reeaaally good xD
