Choosing to send the pool clip to Third of all people and leaving it up to him to decide what to do with it is some serious mind game on Renji's part. He had so many options but sent it to the one person who would be the most conflicted. Third's screwed no matter what he chooses. Send it to literally anyone else and the decision to leak or delete would be predictable and hassle free (boring).

nah, renji's character is so poorly written.
I disagree. For me he's like an avatar for mischief. Don't confuse withholding character info with character development. Slowly revealing his hidden connections to the other characters the way they did and perhaps the motive for his antics makes him very interesting. Also his dynamic with the other characters changes under different settings as we see with his interaction with his partner in crime and family members. And we the audience know that despite his onscreen silliness he is a lot wiser to what's happening around him and behind the scenes than he lets on.

The writing in this series is phenomenal. Hats off to the writers. It really helps the cast to show what they've got and they're shining. And not just the leads everyone. Great dialogue and plot development.
