I wonder if by not recasting Yoo Han it's the producers' way of leaving the door open for Hyun Jun's eventual return in the role later on or maybe that's wishful thinking.

They didn't change the actor. They changed the character. Although I personally liked Hur Hyun Jun's performance in the 1st season. I would not have minded them recasting another actor in the same role. They could have even had Hyuk play Yoo Han. But it looks like they decided to write out the Yoo Han altogether. For now at least.

Likewise. I wimped out and never saw the last episode of "Make our days count" and I am perfectly happy with the ending I got. It would have been better to recast the role. TBH they would still come under fire as some viewers will whine that the new actor is too different etc but that would still be preferable than overhauling the original concept. When TVD cut Elena? Don't remind me. And Teen Wolf? I'm still wondering what happened to Isaac. LOL But I know what you mean.

I'm glad to hear that the plot isn't going too far off coarse from the source material but could you spoil something for me please? Does Go Yoo Han come back at some point? It's sad Hur Hyun Jun declined to reprise the role but I and many other fans of the 1st season would not mind another actor taking over the role. From the novel is that something that happens? If I go along with this 2nd season is there hope that say by the end of this season or maybe even a 3rd season the character will come back? Otherwise it makes no sense. Tag as spoiler please.

Exactly what I am thinking! It's a pity the original actor declined to come back but why not just recast another actor in the same role and pickup where they left off? They built the whole 1st season on the mono/probe/face-blindness dynamic between the leads and now we are supposed to accept that it wasn't that important because he could form a romantic relationship with anybody and be happy even when that person doesn't give him a 'color rush'? What was the point? I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt but I don't want to waste my time and end up frustrated either.
